Rust Along Windshield?
Hey Guys - just detailed the car last weekend and started to notice some rust forming along where the roof meets the windshield. I need to get this fixed ASAP as I have heard horror stories of letting it go. I am in the process of getting some quotes from local shops, OH but wanted to see if anyone has had this issue before and what did it cost. What can you say about this article https://rustconverters.net/best-rust-removers/? A lot easier to negotiate if I have a bearing on what the costs really should be!

a lot...lol, helped dad repair a few when I was working for him restoring classic cars, was a lot of work, pretty similar to any other body panel rusing out with exception of having to also take the glass and any other accessories present. I would suggest check their hourly rate as the fair labor standards have really helped mitigate a lot of cost into these, but get lots of quotes and haggle based off that!

Search your local area for rust repair and actual fabrication shops and start getting some quotes. I've been having a hard time in my area until I realized the average collision shop doesn't do any metal or fabrication work, it seems those skilled shops are just less prevalent these days. Usually this is the first question I ask them to differentiate from a body shop and a REAL body shop that can do fab work.
Hope this helps. |
