I'm still not digging the front grill, but the rest of the car looks good.

Not as bad as I was thinking. Awaiting up close on the wagon. Lowered a tad, aftermarket wheels and a new grill and it would be much better.

I'm so happy it doesn't have the same tails that were in the magazine. I hated those tails. The rear end of this thing looks like a Legacy GT crossed with a last-gen Mustang.

It's not bad.

That is the Sedan. The Hatch is identical to the MT article.

From the News and Rumors thread:

"In conjunction with the new chassis, the Subaru Impreza and WRX feature an all-new doublewishbone rear suspension. "

Neat.

I have not looked at specs yet or seen the inside of course, but the trunk space looks much bigger now.

Yeah, saw that and got a little jealous.

The front's growing on me. I still don't like the taillights or the yaaawn side profile.

Thanks a lot Evan! I'm refreshing like a champ over here

EDIT: Oh, and those wheels are horrid.

see that's the problem...it looks to much like a legacy to be an impreza...it should still have the boxy fenders...i think really that is all (+ the stupid grill) that needs to be fixed

kinda reminds me of the focus sedan. i really dont like it, the impreza has always kept the same basic design and body lines since 93, you can look at the 06 next to a 93 and tell that they are basically the same car, just a few facelifts but still the same critter. the new impreza looks not quite right.

isn't this car (not calling it an impreza) suppose to be on the same chassis as the legacy now?...I know that had been the rumor for a good 2 years...

First look at side-on view and I'm thinking Lexus. Looks good. I like the longer windows.

But of course, I bought the Legacy.

Okay great. I still hate those tails and I'm glad they aren't on the sedan.

I hate it ..I've been yelling about it on the official thread, so why not yell about it in this one. I hate the rear end of the sedan, I hate the whole look of the new car. I also hate the dual exhaust. They should just call it a legacy junior!

Actually, it's not too bad IMHO. At least not as bad as I expected it would be - I'm very interested to see the interior though.
