Lose the shooting brake malarkey and go full clownshoe. So much freaking want!

Although I'd still dig the Jalop chop.

I would happily buy either of those. I hear they can put a FI engine in there too.

This thing would be a sensible answer to the M 135i 3-door, which seems massively popular**. 2/3 the power, at 2/3 the price!

EDIT **everywhere but in the US, where it is assumed it would be laughed at and languish on dealer lots for its' hatch-backerry.

Looks awesome. It will never happen, and even if it does we won't get it in the US. But it's an awesome what-if.

I love the idea of this! It would most definitely need a turbo though.

Here is my attempt

I see this white thing posted around here alllll the time as the forbidden fantasy fruit everyone lusts over, and every time I think "is this what a BRZ hatch would look like?" No. I think it bothers me because it looks like something I would have drawn up when I was 13. Which isn't a direct insult, as I was quite the artist when I was young. But my tastes were 13-ish. I'm glad someone else wasn't feeling it.

I'm feelin the red thing.

The problem with the white one is the flares. Pull the flares and it looks fine.

Yes yes yes!

I don't understand why everyone other than BMW thinks that just because we want RWD, we somehow don't want practicality. The hot-hatch phenomenon proves that people would gladly trade -2% performance for +50% utility.
