With the way everyone is backordered and overrun with orders, I would expect lead time to have at least tripled. LMT went from one month lead time on custom orders to five months.

LaRue used to have lead times of around three-four weeks, so now I would imagine they're in the three to four month range.

I work two days a week on the box, but that's still 26 hours. The other five it's all guns. My safe is full again. Two days ago it was empty, and now I have twenty again. Tomorrow it will be empty.

Jake, Please go ask him this and get it on camera. I would like to actually see his response to this since I can't make it up to do it myself.

Most anything that shoots bullets. Lately I've gotten away from the more tactical-oriented guns, just because I don't agree with the market value pricing on them and am certainly not in the business of gouging people.

Tonight I picked up a 1982 Smith & Wesson nickel model 57-1 .41 mag revolver that is absolutely beautiful. But before the craziness of the past month, my business was mostly custom ARs and tactical weapons. It's been very handgun oriented as of late. I've been doing a lot of consignment sales for hard to find weapons and more rare guns. I also run a ton of transfers because I have the lowest rates in DFW. You're always welcome to stop by and BS. I'm here every day except Friday and Saturday when I'm on shift.

Can anyone find me some .308 winchester ammo? Out everywhere between Tyler to Shreveport.

Oh, brutally gorgeous. Specs on it?

And what 308 do you shoot? Bullet type? Grain? I'll be running to a couple of places tomorrow, so I can check for you and pick some up. How much do you need/want?

Interesting chassis. And what's behind the brake? Looks too large to be threads.

That's a GoGun Talon brake. I demoed the prototype(s) for them a couple of times. It works, but they look odd. Barrel is threaded.

I should take a pic of my TRG42 soon.

Those rounds are usually heavier which means they are slower and FAR less likely to damage steel targets. Light FMJ rounds will pierce 1/2 non hardened steel at 300 yds easily. Hardened steel isn't cheap. Having some bozo out there with super hot ammo is an easy way to ruin it.
It's mostly to stop AK shooters and other people that shoot Wolf / Combloc ammo. That stuff sparks like crazy and will start a fire very easily. The steel cores and jackets on that crap will also eat up a steel target fast. The same with M855 and all that penetrator stuff.

About 90% of the people that shoot ARs / AKs can't shoot for **** and just go out there to blast away ammo. They end up blasting away most of the targets, target stands, etc. It's lame.

I think I was noticing the ridges on the shoulder of the brake and though that was threading. I don't think you'd thread something that large a diameter, many are 5/8-24 which is a lot narrower than that.

Blasting away on ammo with an AR platform is fun when you have a range that allows junk shooting. It is pretty fun to make soda cans explode and bowling pins launch into the air. I still remember going to Gibson's once, I think James was out there that day, and they called a cease fire and one guy didn't know how to lock his action open on his AK clone. That **** scares me. If you're going to own a firearm then you damn well better know how it operates.

I think it would be safe to say most people can't shoot no mater which platform.

They can be modified to lock open on empty, not a normal operation for them though.

After googling, i found a few mods for it, but yeah, from the factory they do not lock back. I am sure he knew how to operate it.
I have had arguments with range masters who think it locks back. I just use a clear orange wedge which puts it in there. I feel its range masters who can be guilty of not knowing how **** works.

Or you just put an empty casing in the action to show it's unloaded like most everybody else who doesn't want to buy an action plug. I'd rather the RSO is a total raging asshat about that kind of stuff than have some f-wad leave his chamber hot while we all go downrange to change targets.
