Default the case of the missing lug nuts

Saturday between 12:30 am and 7:30 am someone decided to remove all of the lug nut on the wheels on the let side of my car, the right fron tire, and remove all but two loose nuts on teh left rear. so when I backed out of my drive at 7:30 am my car was soon hunkering on all fours so to speak. The damage is mostly to the front wheels, the left front fender is trash, but the rotors and suspension seem fine. i'm guessing $500-$1000 in damage at least. The most amusing part is that I live in a gated luxury apt community. I think that someone was actually up to stealing the wheels and got interrupted.

I'm actually not too upset....just glad it all fell apart 10 feet back of my garge instead of at 100mph on the beltway. Houston is such a lovely place to live. The only redeeming part I found out is that I could actually have legally killed the wayward pit crew had I caught them inflagrato because of Texas law. Suffice to say my Browning Hi-Power .40 caliber is freshly loved upon with a cleaning and a belly full of CIA issue Eagle Talon like rounds. I'm a sporting guy and the last NASCAR race set the award mark at a 12 second pit stop which is not far off the time it would take me to get out of my place to the driveway......so....first prize for the sub 12 second pit is a shinny new set of gold ROTA FORMEL wheels with next to new Falken Z rated tires! Any pit crew taking longer than that will receive at least 150 grains of lead traveling at mach 2.5, and due to the wonders of extra capacity mags there is plenty to go around for the grill wiper and water boy.

The only bad part in the whole deal was having a wheel slip out of my hand and smash the n end of my right ring finger on the rotor as 37 lb of wheel and tire decended 6 inches. (one of your engineers could figure the momentum). So instead of playing with my subbie bros last night I would up taking lots of tylenol1s and sleeping.

Since I have lived in these apartments (Nov 2000) 2 cars have been stolen and anther vandalized. Time to have a heart to heart with the apt manager.

See you guys next weekend at the auto-x!

Wm

note to self... do not even stand close to his car

I feel your pain.. My partner has a 01' lightning and he woke up a few mornings ago to find his truck sitting on the ground. They tried to use blocks but were not smart enough to fiqure out how to use them. I've always wanted to put some kind of alarm on my car that when armed makes the whole car (including rims) charged with a spare battery mounted in the trunk. That way when someone touch's my car I can hear them scream and then go out and shoot them

Default just to make sure you understand my humor

Actually I wouldn't really shoot anyone for stealing parts off my car...at worst I would likely discharge my firearm in a non-lethal manner like shooting out the escape vehicle tires and radiator to make it easy for the police to apprehend them. It was just fun to vent in a Texan Way. Anybody that knows me would probably tell you I'm freindly and harmless and don't treat my car as if its precious. I think if anything it will remind people to park in a garage if possible and get wheel locks.

If anything I now have a little more sympathy for other subbie owners that have been vandalized or had cars wrecked by idiots.

Watch out Willman, they may start comparing you to that Tex-Wrex guy. Another guy that is nice as could be, except when it comes to thiefs.

I have some of the real Black Talons, in .40 cal flavor. If you would like a magzine full, let me know.

Glad you did not have an accident.

William,
Would that be a Browning Hi-Power .40???? I've got 2 .40's and one 9mm in the Hi-Power, THE BEST pointing pistol I have ever held!! As a matter of fact, the Hi-Power .40 will be my CHL pistol. I recently put a match-grade barrel on one of them, accuracy is AWESOME!

Default texas gun chat

Greg

thats affirmative. Its the black tactical with tritium sights, pachmyer grip (sp?). All of my guns are brownings, from belgium made shotguns, my 243 rifle and my silver/chrome commander 9mm hi-power and of course the 0.40 in question. My 40 cal is more accurate, or should I say i'm more accurate with the 40 than the 9mm.

do I hear a subbie gun range day in theworks??????

Default Do you live by me?

Just saw your post. I think whoever was messing with my car must've moved to Texas.
I was missing lugnuts each day for three weeks. I didn't think too much about it, until I was left with two nuts on one wheel. After that, I changed to security lug nuts - two different kinds. Might as well make those bastards work for them.

Good luck.

Damnit,

I hate it when stupid people can't leave a good car alone. They always have to do **** like that just because they're jealous that they don't have one. I feel your pain.
