98 Legacy gt 2.0tt questions
Im doing a swap and ive found the legacy swap cheaper than a wrx swap. from what ive found out it seams that it would be a big headache and fairly expensive to tune. i was wondering if anyone has any experience with it. or if i should just put out the extra for the wrx swap.
thanks

Do you mean the single ot twin turbo Legacy? Twin won't fit too easy according to matt monson, but we have them over here with twin turbo's, no clearance issues at all.
As far as engine management goes, they would not be that hard to tune. In fact, when I was at STi@Docklands Subaru we replaced the ECU with an Apexi unit ans spent a few days 'tweaking', we got rid of the 'breathlessness' at around 3-4000rpm, and increased overall output by 45%!! I believe the twin turbo is a viable performance option for those with time/money to spend on it. Less lag, although I think it would benefit from a larger secondary turbo!! Hope this helps Sixpack Subaru |

Couldn't tell you 'for sure', but all I would do is dump the whole exhaust and turbo's, and fit the WRX upipe and turbo etc--tooooo easy!!
