Default 2006 WRX Tweeter grille hole covers (CAD model/3D print)

I bought a Kicker KSS50 speaker kit for my 2006 WRX to refresh the speakers. the tweeters that came with the kit are too large for the door openings. The kit comes with some adapters to give installation options. I know they look a little strange, but I think the little speaker stalks are the best option from my available options. Instead of mangling the OEM grilles and since I've been getting into 3D printing and Fusion 360 CAD, I designed some grille hole covers to replace the OEM grilles.

Unintended benefits: though my end goal was to be able to mount these little tweeter pod stalks, I had to model the shape in general so this also means I have designed a block off plate for the OEM tweeter hole, which might be useful for some of you out there... if you have installed tweeters somewhere else or if you are using integrated woofer/tweeters in the lower door. Or if you want to design some personalized/customized cover you can use this design as a starting point.

If you need any help with some design feature or something, let me know and I'll try to help.

<I'll add pictures here if I can figure out how to do that>

I'm a fairly simple/basic 3D print hobbyist so I've only ever printed in PLA Professional. I have not installed these in my car yet so I don't know if they'll hold up. but I've been running a PLA gauge pod visor for over a year with some vinyl paint on it and it's still fine.

I would think ABS might work well or some of the carbon or glass infused materials (personally I'd go for something low gloss), but that's way above my level. These will be in the car's greenhouse (hot) and forever fighting against the weight of the speaker pods so we'll see. If you're just printing the blanks, if you sand and paint them PLA would probably be okay for a long while. I don't think this warrants going to metal printing.

and glad you like them. Definitely took me multiple trial and errors to get them close to OEM.
