Default EJ20K help needed

Hello all,

My name is Jon and my personal goal is to own, experience, and modify as many unique cars as possible.

Recently, I traded my modified ‘07 Speed Yellow 997 911 C4S for 2 vehicles + cash.

One of the vehicles that I got is a modified ‘97 WRX Type R STI V3 with a EJ20K.

The vehicle was shipped from AZ to me here in MD. I took delivery of the car about 3 days ago but was away for 1 day so only had a couple days to tinker with it.

Recently, after driving the car normally for about 15 minutes I noticed that a red CEL would come on for about 15 seconds and then go away.

The car drives completely fine with no issues but the only thing that I did notice is anytime I would come to a stop, the car would idle lower than normal but gets back up to the the proper idle range shortly after.

This evening, I did a test and determined that I have a 23 and 24 code.

23 - Mass Air Flow Sensor
24 - IACV

Does anyone have the proper PN for the MAFS?

Also, does anyone have the IACV part number and for the gasket for an EJ20K?

Any help or feedback would be greatly appreciated

With the EJ20K engine, your WRX certainly has a formidable power, plus the improvements that have been made. Wish you will own this car for the longest time.

You might be able to clear the MAF code with MAF cleaner if you haven't tried already. It's helped me before on my EJ20G
