Oh sweet, that's good to know and definitely makes sense! Just waiting for this 5 speed to give out... Lol

Yeah they do both. They have a bunch for sale but can rebuild one if you send it to them. Just for the rebuild I think it's $225 plus $100 if you cbr to port it and another $100 for polishing on the vf48 not sure if it's different for other turbos.

I'd really like to see a dyno sheet with one of these. Upgraded stock turbo's isn't new but I've really have never seen someone come back with results and dyno sheet to show gains.

I want to go this route my self lol But I wanna see what the difference is.

How would you compare to stock? What boost levels are you running? Any dyno numbers?

Thanks!

unfortunately i just got the road tune for now and am holing out for my flex fuel setup before i hit the dyno. The tuner i go to dos basically every Subaru in NM and has done hundreds probably and said it should be sitting right around 315hp on my set up and that is stock 2006 injectors.

Yes, but what a huge difference over the TD04! I was very happy with the VF39 I put onto mine for quite some time, you will never get a better bang for your buck, especially if you run flex fuel. With a good tune your motor should hold up well, just don't overdo the boost on that stock block on the E-85. You will need bigger injectors than stock for the E-85, in my opinion.

Yeah the next step is to go with 1000cc injectors and flex fuel to bump it up a bit more. and my tuner is really good, i trust him to not overdue it for what I have. He tunes pretty much every Subaru where i live

Sorry, late jumping into this, but I too am interested in post-tune numbers when you get those injectors and an E85 tune. Sharp looking VF48, really digging that wheel and porting job, I'm thinking of doing the same with mine!

I will definitely update when I get some numbers going! You should definitely do it, It's a cheap little upgrade to get a bit more out of your stock turbo.

Working on the video now! Hopefully it will be uploaded by the end of the week. Unfortunately I could video while we were doing the road tune but I did before and after.

Thanks! They're Azul wheels, I think they are the Speedmesh. They came with the car when I bought it. I've looked them up and they're some off brand but they look pretty good

Yeah definitely! It's pretty fun. I almost have everything together for flex fuel so that'll be coming up in the next few weeks as well! SO far it's super solid though!

Just a little update! Got an accessport on top of my custom protune. My tuner loaded the map he made me onto it so now i'm ready to go flex fuel! also turbo is still holding up strong so far and is hitting 19lbs of boost.
