Default 2015 Crosstrek Setup

Good afternoon everyone! It's been almost 2.5 years since I last logged on, mostly part to me selling my WRX years ago, and not having gotten back into the Subie game since.

I now work at a Subaru Dealer as a Sales Consultant, and I just got myself a 2015 Crosstrek in Desert Khaki about a month ago, and I love it! I did end up giving my ex-wife the 06 Forester I had, as well as a set of wheels and snow tires.

I do still have a set of Blizzaks that I can probably squeeze another season out of, but I have been toying with the idea of a dedicated wheel and snow tire setup.

Now, I worked in the tire business for 7 years, so that I'm good with, and all I want is a basic set of steelies. My question is this, and I've read different answers on line before I posted this.

Can you run a 15" wheel on a stock Crosstrek? I found a set of wheels and snows on an old set of 15" Legacy wheels, but I would like to make sure they will clear the brakes before I grab em.

I do apologize in advance if this has been covered, I did try the search bar first though! Lol, thanks in advanced!

welcome back!

Sadly, the legacy wheels will not fit, i tried the same thing with mine, lol. you will need 15" wheels that will clear wrx brakes. look for rally style wheels, something like Method, Sparco, Braid, Team Dynamic, etc.. if the wheels work for rally, they should clear the brakes.

16" Sparco Terras can be had pretty cheap on TireRack. I can confirm they'll fit as I had a set on my old 14 Impreza Sport.
