its custom, it started as a turbo xs rfl catback and we modified it to match the gram lights style exhaust they used to offer. its great cause it doesnt mess up the paint when running catless

Couple of questions though.

Did they take the tumbler divider out of the TGV blocks? They would have taken the actual tumbler blade out but cant tell if the divider got taken out.

Also has the manifold been tested on the dyno yet? Would choke in high rpm would be my guess. Also is there velocity stacks inside the plenum chamber?
everything was smoothed out, those are the only pics I have of the progress on it.

Nope, we haven't had it back on the dyno this time around yet. Not sure how it will perform - I don't claim to be an engineer, I simply deisgned the manifold like that because I like the way it looks and it is unique. I don't doubt that it will still make some healthy numbers once I get a chance to find out - I'm not out to break any power number records. We did do a few things to the internals this time around as well though

Yep, thats the Brainchild Customs downturn tip exhaust. We made about 4 of them, this being the first and actually a bit different then the other 3 (straighter and once piece from the downpipe back). TurboXS helped us out with the catback and we had it modified from there, as he said to mimic the look of the discontinued gram lights muffler.

It's made by Plastics4Performance in the UK. Everything but the front glass is molded polycarbonate. I guess I really should post a mod list...

Okay, so I just have to ask this question considering this car has gone through multiple renditions, been in multiple magazines over the years.

Why the choice to go with this specific paint color in consideration of the time, effort, and money that went into the pearl setup on version two?

I have a bunch of answers to this question for you:

1. The quality of the paint work this time around is far superior to the previous paint job despite the difference in cost of material

2. The previous paint was good for what I needed it for, it grabbed attention and was extremely unique - but honestly, I got sick of it toward the end.

3. I felt that with all of the crazy work and detail being included on this version of the build, a much simpler paint color would be better because it would allow all of the details to pop, rather than get lost behind the paint color.

4. Last, I built this final rendidition for me to enjoy first and foremost - and I've always loved the classic ferrari red.

How does that work? (I searched and didn't see any other mention of "emissions" in the thread.)

Essentially it just took a lot of phone calls to various people at the MVA until probably 3 weeks into trying I was on the phone with the head of emissions testing for Maryland.

I had to send photos, info and proof of insurance which showed a limited milage policy. The car is insured under an agreed value policy with a specialty vehicle insurance company and part of thier terms are about 1,000 miles annually... with no odometer checks

After review, the state allowed me to register the car as a specialty vehicle. Which means, all modifications are unrestricted and emissions testing is not required.
