Default please help sti gas pedal swap into 06 wrx

hey there guys i am hoping that you guys can helo me... i bought sti pedals for my 06 WRX TR and the gas pedal that is on my car is made out of plastic all one piece... and the pedal did not fit cause it was all one piece and you could not put the new one on cause it works with a pin... i recently bought a 06 sti gas pedal assembly and i was going to swap them out but the plug on it is bigger then the plug on my wrx gas pedal... how do i get this to work so that i can have the sti pedals? thanks for your help...

you pound out the pin and switch the flat part of the peddle

06-07 STi pedals are different design than 04-05 STi pedals... to my knowledge they are not adaptable in any form.
why would you want an sti gas pedal anyway? for the looks? my 03 wrx pedals looked the same as my sti pedals...

Did anyone get resolution on this issue? I was looking at buying the STI gas pedal assembly for my 07 TR but if the plugs aren't the same it sounds like a bad idea.
