Uh, not really. He said he liked the Acura 3.5 RL, which was essentially a step (or two) up from the Accord. Not sure why you would suggest the Civic, which is a step down from the Accord. He wants a refined sedan, not an economy car.

My list post Subaru scene has the following cars I want to check out once I get my normal income once again. I'm basically looking lux performance sedans....
1) C63 2) CTS-V 3) XF-R 4) IS-F These are decent lux with performance in mind. Again nothing "super" fast, but will be fairly quick considering it's pulling WAY more weight than a WRX or STi!!! Although I suggested a RS4/RS6 teh ONLY reason I wouldn't buy is because A) a good friend has a RS6 and B) AWD is not a need sice I'll have a DD in my Forester. |

I'm probably not that far behind you chronologically so maybe have some of the same preferences....maybe not?
Do you require AWD? Do you require a manual? Would you consider buying new or CPO and plan on dumping the car as the warantee is ending? If so, you could consider an A4/S4 or 3/5 series BMW. I'm thinking long and hard about the Audi, even though I know that they can be total pieces of money whores. They can be tracked and are exceptional driving cars (both of these). If you want to spend a bit more money, maybe a Porsche AWD 911. Luxury, power and handling all in one. Although I've driven them and always feel like they drive like and Audi. I don't know what else to recommend. |

if you want more reliability and less performance Infiniti M35X I won't go the Audi S V8 route if I have to pay gas guzz tax. you guys are suggesting NSX's and porsche 911's for seating 4 with hockey gear .. lol. brotatoes are putting up their dream cars and this guy is asking for something a few steps up from an accord that can be reliable year round and not as disposable as a subaru. |

Yeah let's see.... depreciate a 60k car with miles or a Forester. You right tough question. On top of that why add ~700 mile a week on a lux car?? Did you even read his post? He wants a lux car and will use his WRX as a beater. DUH!!!

"Even if I keep my Wrx as a second car"
Doesn't sound like he WILL keep it as a beater. Especially if he's comparing his next ride to his past DDs The funny idea of buying a 60k and hoping it doesn't depreciate is funny. All the cars you listed depreciate insanely fast as is. If you are trying to avoid depreciation on a 60k car you really shouldn't be purchasing it. Driving as much as you do. I'd hope you put the 60k to use instead of bearing it all in a beater. Not to mention payin full coverage on a car and not driving it would suck (who pays cash for a 60k car). Just being realistic and practical. iMo My attitude would be different if it was a Elise or something more impractical. |

Cant go wrong with the Infiniti G. But after owning a WRX and Evo, I cant seem to part away with the awd and boost yet. They are just too fun.

For some reason most of the cars mentioned leave me cold. Maybe I'll just ride my motorcycles more this summer. The only cars I have much interest in are a few Mustangs, a few Corvettes (may be a tight fit), or maybe a 911. The Mustang is the only one with much practicality - in summer. A BMW 5 series wagon has some appeal. Last edited by Garandman; 02-24-2013 at 09:25 PM. |

All depends on needs/wants.... GT500 is best bang for buck. I'd rather a GRT or Noble for the price. LOLOLOLOL..... I do love Suby's but I'm done with them. My next car is in your realm. AS I SUGGESTED. PS I MUST BE OLD!!!!!!!!

Storage space is limited, I was more so pointing out that height wise you would prob be good. Although, the trunk/hatch area in newer vettes isn't that small, people fit golf bags and clubs in them, so i assume a hockey bag should fit. It would work if it was just you, but not if there will be multiple people going.

The Porsche SUV (name escapes me ATM) could be good for your travel and comfort needs. Although gas mileage idk.

Cayenne. Gas mileage is pretty terrible. We paid for one to drive down and back up the west coast.
