Look like it but if you don't want to pull the trigger, there are some good overlays just to get the feel for the look

I know this is old now but just wanted to throw this out there for somebody looking in the future.

it might be an actual OEM piece or a very close replica.

here's a picture of the OEM one straight from the subaru.jp website.

if you zoom in, you cna't see the exact model number but its got very similar markings in the same place on the lens.

Use your OEM fog-lamps and install an H-11 LED bulb with dual 180-degree SMD LED's and an included lense with an amber filter: https://www.superbrightleds.com/more...ink/4445/9995/

that's another reason I believe it may be an OEM piece. the OEM one is listed for 36720Yen so if they have a relationship with a local dealer in japan they can probably get it cheaper and then add a markup for a thin margin.

OR they've found some knockoffs and are selling them for oem prices.

here's a link to the WRX S4 exterior accessories page for reference.

Anyone picked these up? They’re not cheap but I’m intrigued; they should be better quality and optics compared to aftermarket.

I have some...just not installed yet. Still sitting in my trunk. For those who asked earlier...yes these are JDM..not just JDM style.

I'll do a review as soon as I start and finish it up. It'll be coming soon.

Finally installed the JDM fogs so far I dig them. My only concern is with rocks. I'm concerned that with all the trucks and debris on the road someone is going to throw a rock up and break one since they are glass.

Get some Xpel or Laminix overlays to protect them. Do it soon, your concerns about breakage are quite justified.
I've had Xpel on my '02 fogs and Morettes for years and all are still intact.

Did you purchase them from Subispeed? I have the morimoto, and the wiring keeps coming loose. Not particular happy with them. If subispeed is selling the Subaru JDM version I may also bit the bullet.

Now that you’ve had some time with them what are your impressions? Any night shots on road on/off.

One of the things I notice is how far away from the car the light starts compared to aftermarket. Makes sense as any light between the low cutoff and the car can’t be seen from the drivers seat. How was the overall install? Plug and play?
