I'm sure him maintaining his job, which pays for his car, is more important to him than bring bros with someone who messed up their car.

I'd bet that his 7yr old (probably modded) STI is more pristine than the cars w/ less than 36,00mi and half assed bolt-ons put on incorrectly coming into service.

Not only that, any dealership will check for mods during a warranty claim. The warranty only covers defective parts not parts broken from abuse or shoddy modifications.

Actually, mine is exactly a week earlier. Not perfect, but still pretty darn good! I'm so excited...Just trying to save up enough for the DP and a few parts.

Just placed my order for 2013 STI Hatchback DGM, Short throw, SPT exhaust and racks.

Can't believe it, it's been my dream car ever since I bought my first WRX back in '02.

Let the waiting begin!

So my order's 2 days late. The dealer said, "I'll call ya as soon as I see it!" While I appreciate the enthusiasm in his voice, I'm starting to think the 24 September delivery date was a lie. Another carrot on a stick.

Thinking it's a good time to call SoA. Am I jumping the gun?

Wouldn't hurt. Granted eta is an estimated delivery time so it's not exact, but soa would probably have a better idea of what's going on. And it is worth noting that yours is late while nearly everyone else (including me) is getting theirs earlier than expected

A dealer has no reason to lie about the ETA from Subaru. Why would they want to give you an earlier date knowing it would piss you off when it didn't show.

I had 3 cars arrive today that were dated 9/24 for the ETA. It happens all the time. I would not be calling SoA this early as they can only see the same exact ETA that the dealers see. The shipping company is not Subaru, and when they have a delay it takes a few days for them to even let Subaru know.

I know you want your car like yesterday but it is only 2 days after the ETA. When it is 7+ days would be the time to be concerned and calling SoA.

That's just like....my opinion man.

Your opinion means a lot. Seriously. Thanks for making the time to share it.

(note to self: Deep breath. Repeat. Stop looking at WRX photos...for an hour).

OR... You could just set up a tent in front of the dealership. Subaru likes the outdoorsy image anyway.

rystar's totally gonna have to be a tent guy to know anything about his car. It's probably already there. You keeping it around as a designated test drive car? Service loaner?

I'm supposed to be assisting my fiancee in the planning of an event called a "wedding". I believe I have spent more time reading forums, watching YouTube videos and plotting my future mods (since my order was submitted in August) than I have spent planning our big day after getting engaged last December. Lol.

Fortunately I found a legit woman. She finally asked me to teach her to drive a stick the other day so she could be ready for when the STi gets here next week. I started teaching her on my '08 WRX last night. Considering I'm trading it in towards the upgrade, I'll let the dealer worry about the lingering aroma of burnt clutch. Haha.
