Bricked 2013 wrx ecu
I'm using a tactrix cable and I had a failed flash. I have called tactrix and they told me to contact Cobb for a bench flash. I am still waiting for them to call me.
I have come across a few articles on bench flashing yourself but all of these seem to be for older non-CAN bus ecu's. I am curious if a bench flash can be performed at home for this generation of ecu? I don't mind sending it out to have the work done, it is just a time issue. Thanks for any input. Devin |

Read through this, it's definitely possible to unbrick your ECU yourself

Why not wait for Cobb to call you as stated by your post AND people whom know what to do?

If you read the thread you'd see people got it to work on 08 STIs using ecuflash beta. So it does work with newer generation ecus. Do you think Cobb or EcuTek use voodoo magic to unbrick ECUs? No, they use a very similar if not exact method as discussed in the thread.
