45 should fit and 50 too but 55 youll start to need more fender mods. Go wide over tall 8.5 wheel should fit fairly easy as long as your tire is right.

Here is my 15 Impreza Sport Limited. Got it a few weeks ago. Havent hit 600 miles yet

So far I have purchased some new aftermarket taillights (will install them this week and post pics). Also going to tint the windows in the next few weeks (the local tint shop is booked up for a while) Otherwise I havent done any other mods, but I plan on doing some (suggestions anyone?).

I am looking at installing HIDs for my low beams, but have any of you installed HIDs for high beam? Because Im pretty sure the high beams are the DRL, and I have read HIDs dont do well underpowered? Anyone shed light on this? (punnnn)

Get them retrofitted with bi-xenon hids. You'll still retain your high beams and they'll also become your drl.

Having problems finding bixenon/high low 9005 HB3 bulbs to replace the High beam/DRL.....anyone got suggestions?

For those of you who have changed the horns, was it a difficult job? Looking at getting a Hella horn or something, the stock horns on these Imprezas are pretty funny sounding.

It sounds like you don't have much knowledge of how automotive lighting works. Please read this before you do anything with your headlights;

You are correct. I am starting from square one. Trying to do my own research but there is so much opposing info out there. Thanks for the read.

Might look into LEDs then........?

Glad to hear that. Any info that opposes Mr Stern's knowledge of lighting should be ignored

Unfortunately, LED's have the same problem as HID's, the reflectors in our headlights were designed for halogen bulbs ONLY.

Check out this thread, JDMSTA shows you exactly what's involved in converting these headlights to use HID's;

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2333347

Basically, to do it properly, it's gonna cost you.

If you put hids into into the halogen reflectors everyone will hate you on the road. There will be a lot of glare due to the unfocused nature of the light so it is highly advised you go the retrofit route.

Those are NOT for our gen 4 Imprezas, which is funny because one of the ones that are, were pointed out (in the retrofit thread I linked to earlier) by YOU;

Just making sure the newby knows the difference.

BTW, 'Tha' is equivalent to 'the'. I had to switch the spelling for a user ID on another site years ago and stuck with it. ;-)

Thanks guys for the input on hids. It is something I definitely want to do, but also want to do right. I think hids will go on the back burner for a bit and I'll work on some other stuff.

Here is a few quick phone pics of the new taillights I put in today. They are pretty dark smoked color.

Yep. http://www.ebay.com/itm/400820072038...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Overall, they work great and look really good. Only gripe is I wish the brake lights would be a bit brighter, but definitely not a "problem". Installation wasnt even 15min lol
