07 STI with DP on 93
Andy at Verocious in Wilmington, DE installed and Protuned the following: a Cobb catted downpipe and heat shield, a Walbro fuel pump, and a Prodrive boost control solenoid. The car is still quiet but much smoother and quicker. I'm very satisfied with the crew at Verocious and RallySport Direct which delivered the parts.

Very nice, if you're logging it now after the tune, what are they looking like, AFR's? Any knock of any sort?
Just curious since it is an 07... |

This is Andy from Verocious. I would completly agree that it looks like the DAM is dropping from knock. I am trying to post a log of the run now showing absolutly no knock and the motor taking full advance over the full rpm range. I am having trouble posting the datalog, so if anyone can help me I would appreciate it. I think the issue is with my dyno electronics. I have been losing the signal from my rpm pickup and drum pick up sensors the last week and it is getting worse.
Actually I am quite fond of the 07 ECU's Last edited by SinistiR; 10-09-2007 at 01:07 PM. |

There is no sudden dip in timing. It does lose about a degree right there, but I had to smooth out the drop through the load ranges as rpm increased. On a side note I also monitor knock via an earpiece and amplifier I made. |

After the drop, the ECU will continue to advance the timing .5* at a time. Compare that dip with what your maps are actually calling for and you'll likely see a discrepancy. Thanks -- Ed |

I bet it was running out of fuel or he did not adjust the ETC to hold the throttle open till fuel cut.

The last three rpm break points for throttle are set to 6900, 7150 and 7200. Duty cycles are 100% until 7150 and fall to 25% at 7200. Rev limit is set to 7200.
The car has an upgraded fuel pump, and running 89-90% DC. When I view the gear ratios instead of power and torque in WinPep. At the same time power drops, the gear ratio goes crazy and ossilates all over the place. Its not smooth like a slipping clutch. I have never observed this happening before. |

I had my car tuned by Andy and the results were amazing. With a tbe and equal length headers, he tuned open ecu for 295awhp and 378lb/ft of torque. Not to mention almost 300 miles per tank. I know this is a little off topic but Andy is an excellent tuner with alot of knowledge. Just my .02
