I'd be a little (well actually, very) skeptical about this. If it's true great, but it could also be a scam. If a show has enough budget to send 16 people off to play rally driver for 6 weeks somewhere + filming and renting rally cars, instructors, etc. you'd think they'd have the budget to sort through the applications w/o charging you $12 (oh and they very conveniently accept M/C, Visa, Amex and Discover...).

Fishy that this guy has to use a hotmail address! Another thing that is fishy is the about us section:

" Morré Entertainment LLC was formed as a production company and licensor of literary pieces for television, Film, electronic and in written form. The company is comprised of individuals from diverse backgrounds. Creative is headed by two individuals with work on past and present projects from Paramount Pictures, 20th Century Fox, TNT Originals and HBO Original Series.

Why can't they name any names? We should turn this jerk in, and contact the studios above, as this could be libelous or slanderous for the studios, and to prevent any would be hopefuls from losing their money!

Florida eh? Yeah, that's the nexus of the entertainment industry in this country! Doesn't quite add up that they're not in SoCal.

Ummm, I admit I don't know a whole lot about this Morre' Entertainment, but Orlando is a huge entertainment industry area. Many movies, game shows, etc. are filmed on location or at one of the many studios in the central Florida area. Heck, I watched Mel Gibson & Danny Glover running around Clearwater Beach during the filming of Leathal Weapon 2, Passenger 57 with Wesley Snipps was filmed entirerly in Orlando and a couple other big wiggs including Brad Pitt were just filming a movie a couple of weeks ago at the St. Petersburg Dog Track. Orlando is the 3rd largest entertainment industry area behind So. Cal & New York.

Another thing to consider, the European Rally School is located in Starke, FL (about 1 hour from Orlando) sounds like a good place to stage a show like this, self-contained, large, has their own rally vehicles and maintenance group. gravel & tarmac courses.

Now again, I'm not defending this guy, I've never heard of him.

Has anyone tried calling (or faxing) the number above to get any more information about this? If it's true $10 is cheap for that type of opportunity...if it's a scam, then let's bust him.

Question Sounds fishy to me...

Think I'll call the owner of the rally school, see what he knows.
(Co-driven for him before and prolly will some more )

Sounds "too good to be true" to me. But who knows. When
I worked in LA for SGI, hollywood bigwigs DID love racing.

iw

edit:

Good call on the ERS thing. Spot on.

I spoke with the owner of ERS. Seems the School is
currently for sale. Long story short: Seems this production
company decided against the contract they had to rent the
place, build cars, and lease training, etc. Instead they decided
to buy the entire thing. However several wealthy
buisnessmen seem to have had the same idea about
the same time, so ERS is currently on the block.

No clue on the outcome. It is "in holding" as I understand
it. I think I recall this means that the owner has an agent
and a price and the bidders need to get to work. ^_^
Kindof like a reserve on ebay. If you're rich and
want a rally school, give them a call.

It sounds in general like an almost-real deal.
No one seems to have seen a dime from this company yet
however so if it happens I'll let y'all know. Owner
confirmed that money never changed hands at any time,
so he couldn't confirm if they were legit either.
He did say they had been buisness-like so far.
Way I figure is if they do have the $ to buy ERS, they
may be the real deal.

If you want to see what those Focii look like, check out
Craig Peeper's car in Maine or at Ojibwe, or hit his web
site over at www.slingshotrally.com.

I've left a hell of a lot out that was told to me in confidence,
but he fed me lots of juicy rumors.

iw out
