Default Is anyone running the STI ecu in the Forester XT with the stock turbo ?

Is anyone running the STI ecu in the Forester XT with the stock turbo ? I am wondering how it runs? Is it rich due to the loss of cfm @ 16psi on the stock turbo versus the VF39? Has anyone ran Delta Dash on this setup to get an idea how ideal it's running? I would like to see if it's a viable option to pick up a used ecu, and drop it in, rather than reflash or Cobb. My planned mods with the STI ecu would be uppipe, 3" TBE, USDM STI ic, and K&N filter with silencer removed.

I asked this in the Forester Forum, and haven't got much response, so some cross posting it is! Feel free to delete one if you must.

Any feedback would be welcomed.

Matt

With the stock turbo you may as well get a reflash for all the safety features. Especially with those mods. A guy on the Forester forum used the STI ecu w/ the STI turbo) and it ran but there are still other differences between the two engines. And those using the STI end up needing a reflash anyway to make it all work right. Play it safe, because you can, plenty of us XT owners were guinea pigs for what works, just use that to your advantage.

no

get a reflash
it might start and run but ... its going to be way out of tune
the cams will also make a difference

get a cobb stage 2 and call it good

for 425 its not that much more expensive than as sti ecu
