Yea because I could understand what you were asking, so many people have different opinions on oil that I don't think you proved anyone wrong. I use 10w30 conventional oil in my 05 fxt (brand new oem long block). Are you going to tell me im doing it wrong? Because my tuner/builder runs it in all his Subarus and hates synthetic. Oh and it's not Rotella either. So according to nasioc, I must b doing it wrong.

The problem is you're focusing on the things in life that don't really matter. When I was a kid I had hopes and dreams. We all did. But over time, the daily grind gets in the way and you miss the things that really matter, even though they are right in front of you, staring you in the face. I think the next time you should ask yourself "Am I on the right track here?". I don't mean to be rude but people like you I really pity. So maybe you could use the few brain cells you have and take advantage of the knowledge I have given you now. Good luck.

Haha - laughed out loud in the middle of a dead quiet office. That was embarrassing.

Subaru says "only 5w30 synthetic" for 2011-13 wrx/sti, I wouldn't want them putting thinner oil or contaminating my engine with regular oil since I've only been using that. I even showed him where the said so an he walk off on me

For the 2/24 free servicing, I will take my STI in to the dealer for servicing. After that time period, I will do it myself. While under the 5/60 power train warranty, I will also use 5w30. Once out of warranty or I decide to mod it Mobil 1 0w40, because its a great oil and with a BMW in the garage one less grade of oil to keep on hand.
