Default exhaust for 2003 2.5RS?

Buddy of mine is getting a 3" sti muffler for his new rs, and he wants to do the rest of his exhaust in 3". Do you guys have any suggestions? perhaps custom bent exhaust, or should i convince hime to downsize to a more universal 2.5" size. Please let me know if you know anyone with this setup. Thanks a bunch guys.

Regard,
Tim Quinn

Hm.... I've heard that it's better to stick to piping that's 2.5" or 2.25" because you tend to lose power in the lower end if it's any bigger. 3" is generally more for turbo

I'm thinking either 2 or 2 1/4" My 2 1/2" down pipe is bigger than the regular pipe.

I have a 3" custom pipe... the car bogs until 3.5-4K, kinda weird... so I ordered a pulley to see if it could improve... tell you next week
