To anawer your question... My saga continues...
Oh boy. Still no luck? I took a video of the first start. Car drives incredibly well on SD, sooo smooth, EWG sounds awesome and the coils aren't harsh at all.

For a built motor i'd say its fairly quiet. Piston slap is non existent from outside the car and a little more audible in the car at idle. However, while driving, sounds like a normal car. I kind of love my equal length header and the spool from the FP RED sounds like straight sex. I really can't wait to get her really breathing after the break in. Currently 200 miles in.

first fire video:

Awesome, just awesome!! Why do you think there is more audible piston slap from the inside the car then outside? I would think it would be the opposite

EWG is an awesome way to go!!!

I think maybe the exhaust from the outside covers up a lot of the noise. EWG is crazy loud. Here's a better video as she's breaking in.

one 3rd gear, one 4th gear. she's pretty slow. maybe a little faster then a stock STI.

I ripped off one of my chargespeed side skirts yesterday. I'm so pissed. I really need to start driving the car like it's on coils. Something i'm not used to yet.

Planning the wedding right now, so spending $11k on a supercharger might piss the Mrs. off a bit.

Probably just going to wait till the winter and do it when the car is off the road.

To be honest I don't really care either, but it would be weeks/months before I can even put it on.

I don't want to have to take the car off the road either while I can drive it as the installation is supposed to take 16+ hours.

How's things Anthony? Long time...

^^That is a super long install. Things are good Greg, and congrats on the upcoming wedding. I bought a house in Mahopac earlier this year, just started dating a fantastic girl, and work is good as always. Only problem in my life right now is my damn car. Finally replaced the ewg uppipe that was cracked, and now my vac hose burnt through. The new uppipe has the wastegate on the opposite side of the DP, so the hose rubbed the DP, hence the burning. Hope things are going well for you too.

I know it does Moneys tight as this build is taking forever. Just paid my 8xx$ car tax for my cars, so money isn't really easy to come by. It appears at though my crankcase pressure is a little excessive pushing some oil past the seals of my freshly rebuilt turbo. So i'm trying to figure that out first.

Also, I marred the side of it up REAL good, so i'll have to buy another set. It's okay, both sides were kind of messed up from the previous owner, so i'll just get another set.

Honestly, I don't have a lift or resources to see exactly where it's leaking from. Threw an emissions code this weekend too, after 600 miles. Extremely odd. I also don't have any emissions equipment. It's all removed, except for the canister. Maybe Mikey just forgot to turn off a code.

I'm dropping it off with EFI on Wednesday night for a second opinion/fix. If they tell me its the turbo, i'll yank it and send it off for a rebuild. I don't have the liquid cash to buy a rotated setup and worry about selling everything after, or that's what i'd do.

DO it. For realz.

How's everyone doing? I'm letting you guys know that I'm about to start my Sunday Football time in Greenwich again. Anyone is more than welcome... it may be a good way to a mini Sunday am meet. There are no cars there on Railroad Ave on Sunday am and I can open the restaurant.

I've never been, but I hear it is cool. A lot of vintage cars and exotics.

Usually a group from M3post show up, so I'm going to make an appearance. Rolling down with my buddy in his 650i GC
