Default Visual difference between STi and regular WRX?

Just saw a re-designed Scooby parked in my condo complex (with the new plain headlights and the hideous front bumper). Whats a quick way of telling if its an STi or just a mear WRX?

Huge hoodscoop on STi and of course the large wing on the STi versus the spoiler or spoilerless WRX.

Fog light covers.

And you won't see the STI parked. It will be flying past you on the highway.

well they had a WRX done up STi style @ the NYC autoshow (right as you walk in toward the right side) and I gotta admit at first glance the STi spoiler on the WRX with the reg scoop (bigger then old body style) sells it.

I said "there it is!" Then I saw the little fogs noticed the rims were the optional BBSs etc. But I guess we gotta get used to the fact a LOT of new WRXs are going to be pimping out on our styling.

On the flip side, there are plenty of drivers who think the STi is a pimped out WRX and then get quite a surprise.

No, strictly driving "sympathetically". You don't need more than 4000 rpm to leave most of the other cars in the dust.

OK, I might have made an occasional foray about 4000 RPM, but I'm almost at 500 miles!

Single big exhaust opening in the STi vs the dual opening in the WRX. Gold looking Brembos in the STi vs non-brembos in WRX.

Other differences were mentioned above.

Listen for the tire noise & brake screech, and look for the BIG grin!

Default The I/C Spray Button

Look for the intercooler water spray button on the left side of the instrument panel. Most people can and will upgrade their WRXs to look like an STi, but I don't know of many that would add on this feature.
