Was I wrong?
Ok, Im crusing on my way to school this morning and at this intersection where I can just plow through because I dont have a stop sign, this MY98 Rally Blue with gold wheels decides to try and "beat" me across the intersection. Now I didnt honk and flip this lady the bird, but I gave her a rather annoyed look because I felt cut off!A little hand motion like "whats your frequency 'foo?" was used after I clearly had to apply the brakes fast and hard...she noticed me when she was halfway through and turned her her head over her sholder to look at me as I was going behind her in the intersection with the look of "whats your problem?" or "nice car". If I had hit that lady, I would have been real pissed..because 2 subies would have died and because of her, my baby would have been lost! ARRRGHGHHHHH..just venting. Im glad it didnt happen.
[EDIT] a couple of typos, and I cleaned it up a little. [This message has been edited by kevinsUBARU (edited February 12, 2001).]

I believe that is exactly why he might be venting...

I understand how you feel. I almost got killed a dozen or more times during my trip to VT last weekend, mostly by people who:
1. Saw my car and wanted to "get loud" with me. 2. Weren't paying attention 3. Were driving erratically. Driving's a privilege, but it should be an earned responsibility. All those in favor of a pass/fail car control school as part of the requirements for a license say "aye." -T |

"Brat" is from Corners NY, and has a MY98 with Gold rims? Is that anywhere near you? Not this any of this is funny, but it would be kind of weird if it was her.
it is just a good thing for many that most of us are very aware drivers and look out for ourselves (and them in a way). Paul G. |

Oh my gosh..thats right..brat lives 15 minutes from me. I still dont think it was her as I have seen it early in the morning before and todays thing happened at like 8AM..not unless she has a BF over on my side of the river or something like that. I highly doubt it was her but you never know...if it was, this is some fricken strange way to meet
Was it you brat? [This message has been edited by kevinsUBARU (edited February 12, 2001).] [This message has been edited by kevinsUBARU (edited February 12, 2001).] |

The chances of her being on this board are pretty slim I think.....no one in my town cares about Subarus except this one dude I know who made his 87 wagon into a rally machine but thats a different story.
If you were the driver and you read this message...I forgive you, but pleaseeeeeeee dont do that again! |

No guys, it was not me. I wouldn't do that! If I do ever run into any of you, I'd give you a beep and a wave, not cut you off.

I havent ever been to **gasp** Poughkepsie, but I frequent Red Hook and Rhinebeck a lot. Who knows, maybe I will see you around. I have a dark green L, with a red badge, and a Thule rack with fairing (bucking bronco sticker on it...hey its from wyoming so no cracks) a SPT, and a whole slew of others. As for the rear...geeze, where do I start? I have a Free Tibet sticker(Cant miss it for the world..its "key my car yellow"), a NESIC sticker in my back window drivers side, and a whole bunch of others.....nothing ricey though. My car has personality See you around!
Kevin I know you were going to ask your brother (or was it cousin?) if he would be down for a RS suspension transplant, but as of now I need to think about brakes (pads are the part I am unsure about)....ever change yours!? |

Heh, you only wished it was Brat. Apparently there are a lot of people who would like a run in like that with her.
-Rez <IMG SRC="http://www.reverberations.com/Storage/Images/scrambles.gif" border=0> P.S. Meant as a compliment BTW, Brat. [This message has been edited by Rez (edited February 13, 2001).] |

haha
Thanks Rez. You would all know it is me if I do run into you. I have a NESIC sticker on the back window, a little leopard on the back sill and I would beep too! Kev- I am Pok quite a bit for school and shopping. I work in Stanfordville, live in Clinton, have friends in Wappingers, I go all over. You'll never know where you might see me. Mara |

Hmm, Red Hook. I have a friend at Bard College. I visited him last fall in my Scooby, and I might go again during Spring Break (early March). Maybe I'll pop a post to the list before I go to see if any Scoobs want to meet up.
