Default Best Catless Dp?

I am sure this topic has been discussed so please forgive me, I am in the midst of getting some parts for my 2019 wrx , I am not new to this but just want to get opinions. I was thinking between ETS catless DP which is 595 or get MAP DP which is much less? Not sure if both are up to par with each other in regards to quality or performance gains etc, both are 3 inch so I would imagine they would be the same. any experiences?

$595 is a lot for catless. Why not invidia?

Most decent manufacturers dont make catless pipes for the 2015 WRX. They are unnecessary and illegal. If you insist on going catless you are intentionally limiting options and intentionally not going with the "best" choice- which would be catted.

Do you already have a 3" catback? I'm looking at the Mishimoto catted J-pipe for my 15. Hooks right up to to turbo and cat is in back, so only need the axle-back to complete.

poke your nose around and you'll find many have had bad experiences with mishimoto anything.

I have a Turbo XS Catless hooked up to my cobb system with muffler deletes. Sounds good and fit with minimal effort

At that point, it is just a 3" pipe. Ebay model will work perfectly and cost you less than 300.

For better quality, you're going to pay more. I think Invidia is the next step up in price.

For the record, I have an SRS resonated from Ebay, and it has worked fantastic with no issues. Even if it did have a problem in the future, it will still be cheaper for me to replace it in kind than it would be to buy a "name brand" that will give me zero difference in performance.

True, may be the case. My N=1 experiment is no issue.

Maybe newer Subaru are different, but earlier turbo Subaru had NO OTS maps for tuning.
Thou shalt get a ProTune for a CATless DP to avoid other issues.
Do you need emissions inspection? A CATless DP may create all sorts of issues if you do.

Ummm......OP stated 2019 WRX, maybe you meant, "no decent mfr's for CATless DP's for 2015+?"

Catless is frowned upon by some tuners and some catless pipes have been discontinued by manufacturers

Yes...

But, I think the real issue with my post is that I didn't capitalize the letters CAT every time I wrote catless. That's the real problem.

To nitpick I'd say a name brand would definitely net you some gain in performance. The legit brands actually put effort into optimizing flow through their exhausts. Could only be a few HP, but that's still more than zero.

You're also going to get better fitment and in the case of some of the forum favorite brands you're supporting companies that help us out with the information and expertise they bring.

lots of people on facebook have done this and mention that the construction is pretty decent. nice welds, no leaks. only reason i didnt get this one was because i live in cali and they wont ship in-state for emission reasons.
