Default First STI Wagon EVER built.... ***UPDATE - 22B PICS ADDED***

Just tossing this out there for opinions.........

My friend in Japan has just acquired the first WRX STI wagon ever made - his wife told him he already has too many cars and he can't keep it.

There were 200 Version 1 STI wagons built, this is number 1!!!

Now he's offered it to me, but I can't afford to own it and put it away and not drive it (my personal feeling is that this car belongs in a museum).

What do you guys think I should do?

I'm waiting on more pics myself still

It took a couple of days of asking me questions about production of early STI's before he even admitted he had it and sent me this pic

Haha, he's changed his mind again now - he own's an exporting company as well as a large detailing company that does all the high end cars for the Japanese dealerships.

He's running it through the detailing shop before he takes the pics, but it's silver with 88,000 km on it - I'll post them when he sends them!

He just informed me that he has a 22B now, too........

He's decided to hang onto it now - there is only one #1 car........

That being said, he does have a fairly significant personal car collection (I believe over 30 cars) and as he said, everything is for sale at the right price (except for three of his cars that he has a long family history with)........

Some of his other personal cars are a Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 with a full Group A circuit spec motor built by Graham Goode Racing in the UK (well known in Subaru circles) and an immaculate first year 1986 BMW M3 amongst many other considerably more rare and obscure cars........

Because when they make the tags they already say " / 00" and then the individual numbers are marked on it afterwards.

The same tags are on the STI sedans, but they manufactured 200 per month of those versus 200 for the entire year of the wagons......

Wow, I just read, this car is a factory spoiler/badge delete car

If I had the money, I'd buy it and have him sit on it for me for a few years...... cars like this are the big $$$ collector cars of tomorrow...........
