I saw that on the rallisport thread. How's that going?, after you cut it out did you just get used to the natural sound of the exhaust setup?

Did you notice any difference with the Perrin rear sway?, how much did you want for the set up?

After I had my exhaust shop cut it out he welded back a piece of SS. Totally not as raspy as before. It sounds a whole lot better now.

Haha so the shop removed a section of ss for the resonator and then replaced it, and it sounded better?

I had a similar problem it gave me headaches on short drives, but never did anything about it and I love my exhaust now more than ever. I would like to think the same thing happen to you?

Just noticed you also posted about the sway bar haha, I installed super stiff lowering springs and reviews mentioned a big difference but it hard to remember from stock. Did you have anything else on your setup before and after your sway bar?

Yeah I said the same thing when he replaced it. Once the pipes set after a day the sound cleaned up to a noticeable amount. Nope before my sway it was completely stock n the body roll was very present. There's this 180 degree bend that's an exit by my house, so I used that as a test.

Sounds good to me, looking to keep the car flatter without compromising on ride stiffness in this bumps as I drive a **** ton for work. Lets just say I budget an oil change every month and half.

And your Perrin, I'm guessing 22mm?

How much over all height did the kartboy shifter reduce from stock, lot or little.

And did you do the bushings yourself? Doing that this month. Probable with next oil change. During the winter it's too cold to do it in my drive way. During the winter I use a local shop with a rated top ten scoob mechanic in Canada.

Yeah the 22m the sway bar did not affect me in ride quality at all.

22mm seems a little too much. but Be careful with a big rear sway bar. it will cause snap oversteer

I don't take turns fast, track or race. The only time I see major oversteer is in the snow. 22 is just to make up the slack where everything lacks.

But just for the record, what is "snap oversteer" my guess is just spinning out on a turn but I don't know.

Snap oversteer : is the propensity of a vehicle to spin dramatically during a turn (usually unexpectedly)

I personally don't think 22mm of anything added to a car could do that. But just thinking that it could make a car that stiff makes me want this sway bar even more, must make it super solid.

I never thought adding a bit of stiffness to a soft pig 2.5i would make that much of a difference. If I might ask what where the conditions of your experience, maxing out the recommended road speed in rain or something?

Nah it was 80 degrees n can't remember the speed of the turn but I was driving aggressive. I was on the stock OEM wheels with about 60% tread. If you want more grip swap the wheels with better ones. The stock ones r craptastic imo.

Hope everything is alright now but I completely understand how that could have happened. I got that from the fist impressions of the 2.5i stocks, switched them out for 235/45/17 Dunlop stockers off an 11wrx ASAP. I still don't think I have enough tread to drive aggressively though. I'll wait for that in some thicker 255's. 9.5 inchers.

for whatever it's worth, I have a 19mm STi sway bar on and love it. I've never driven a subie with a 22mm, so i cant say what the difference between the two would be though. I get some liftoff oversteer, but nothing uncontrolable.

definitely a ***** to deal with as i experienced snap oversteer in my car sunday morning on a damp road with a temp. of around 56. and i'm running only a 16mm rear sway with Stance Coilovers. My tires are pretty much bald, so that might be the reason why my rear swung out Lol I'm getting new tires mounted monday evening tho lol

The settings were around 11F 9R (clicks from soft towards stiff)

Remember when we were talking about covering the intake with a thermal blanket?
look what i found

Hella looks like a towel

I'm positive your bald tires caused that.
What tires are you getting? Also do you plan on keeping your front sway bar stock?
