Default PPF on Rear Bumper and Broken BSD

Hello Everyone-
I recently purchased a 2021 STI and had it partly wrapped in Paint Protective Film (PPF) and also had the entire car ceramic coated, even on top of the PPF. I'm not sure if this was directly after the detail work, but my BSD no longer works correctly. I tried turning it off and on this morning using the button to the left of the steering wheel, and the passenger side worked correctly for 3 cars then stopped. I tried turning off and on again a few times and it did not work at all. I also noticed the mirror LEDs seem to light up more often in the rain. There are no codes or warning lights. Has anyone seen an issue with PPF on the rear bumper causing BSD to fail? I'm not sure if I need to go to the dealer and risk my car being mistreated (again), or get the PPF removed from the sensor areas. Other than removing the rear bumper and testing, any ideas? Cheers.

From a Subaru owner's manual:

The detectability of the radar sensors is restricted.

The BSD/RCTA detection may be impaired and the system may not operate roperly under the following conditions.

- When the rear bumper around the radar sensors is distorted
- When ice, snow or mud adheres to the rear bumper surface around the radar sensors
- When stickers, etc. are affixed on the areas of the radar sensors on the rear bumper
- During adverse weather conditions such as rain, snow or fog
- When driving on wet roads such as snow-covered roads and through puddles

More-likely-than-not, the BSD/RCTA is not broken, but has been disabled of sorts due to the application of the paint protective film. This assumes that the PPF was applied on the face (rearward and sides) of the cover.

Thanks for taking the time to post that. I think I'll pull the bumper just to be sure the PPF is the culprit. Then have the detailer trim around the radar areas.

Lot of headaches so far with this car, but it will be worth it!

Much appreciated!
