The correct PSI for the car is indicated in the door jamb (32 front, 30 rear for my Sport). I see little point in over-inflating the tires. Any minimal extra MPG will be offset by a harsher ride and more tire wear. |

I personally would not infalte my tires more than a couple PSI over the manufactures suggested PSI (32 front, 30 rear). That's just me though...

If you use hydrogen that is good for a slight vehicle weight reduction but may result in Hindenburgitis whereas your tires explode when driving in NJ. Are you really overinflating your tires by 10 PSI+ Do you add an extra quart of oil to keep the dipstick wet all the way up to the handle? Were you aware that you have an owners manual that tells you things like the proper pressure to maintain in your tires, and that the max inflation number on the sidewall of the tire relates to the tire, but not the car that uses the tire? |

Again, probably small differences. I know hyper milers would do 40 but I'm not willing to sacrifice ride quality. |

I know this was a few weeks ago, but someone mentioned seeing an orange peel effect in their paint and suggested disappointment in the factory paint job. I just happened to look at my car tonight in the right angle and lighting and I can see it on my DGM. :/. Anyone, know what the long term effects of this less than smooth factory paint will be?

I don't think I've seen a factory paint job w/o orange peel, I'm not going to worry about it

Plus paint shops aren't cheap, especially up here. I have a tS-replica spoiler sitting in my trunk that I need paint-matched before I sell the car. Just too broke to get it done right now. haha Thanks for reminding me! Gonna see if I can get a quote during my lunch today. I heart these new Imprezas. Very well-defined vehicles. |

The increased "harshness" is noticeably less than switching from 16" wheel to 17" wheels. Or 17" to 18". Increased tire wear is pretty minimal. Tire pressure has been used to fine-tune handling for close to a century now. |

Roof Spoiler

Did you ever end up getting the roof spoiler? If so did you do it yourself? I plan on getting it but didn't want to pay the dealer install cost. Did you find a manual on how to install? Last edited by imcausinmadrukis; 05-09-2012 at 02:26 PM. |

I am searching for instruction with words not just pictures on how to install the roof spoiler for the 5 door. I don't want to pay the costly arm and leg from the dealer if I can prevent
it. Also, I has anyone upgraded their headlights and or fog lights with an HID kit? If so, can I see pictures and what was the difficulty level? Last edited by imcausinmadrukis; 05-09-2012 at 02:26 PM. |

Thanks for clarifying.
"Performance parts" on a 2.0i is a fairly oxymoronic statement since it's just not a performance car and is limited with its naturally-aspirated engine. It won't BE any faster, but you can sure make it LOOK faster. The spoiler would involve some wiring of the 3rd brake light that may or may not be cumbersome, depending on your know-how. Although the wiring for the stock spoiler might be lengthy enough already? There was a picture months ago of someone that installed a poor HID kit. HID kits are not difficult, but paying for projector retrofits would be the shiz! Do it! |
