Ok, I have another new one... Let me preface this by saying... I AM NOT A BODY SHOP REPAIRMAN! If you find my repair sup-par, please keep it to yourself... I didn't want to fix this.

Anyway... This 2003 Altima rolled in last week for a state inspection. I'm assuming that the sunroof drain is clogged, but I wasn't told to find the source of the rust/rot... Just to fix it.

So here is what I found after peeling the carpet back and gently tapping the floor with a 2lb hammer...

And here is all the crap that fell out and or was cut out.

At this point I showed the service manager and he simply replied with... Well, see what you can do. So the following images are from my repair / patch job. I know its not great, but its the best I could do with what I had. Mind you, I dis not have a metal brake to bend these panels. I used the edge of the alignment rack and a hammer.

Better than having a foot long hole in the bottom of the car.

I don't know the story. It looks like a box truck or tractor trailer played NASCAR with the BMW.

I have see the power ran that way millions of times. How can you be so lazy as to not fish the wire through an existing firewall hole? lol

More off the same car. I sure hope this thing can run right after we try fixing everything that's wrong with it. It is an 02 with a junkyard 99 motor in it, but with the 99 intake leaving a few vacuum lines with no where to go.

Sometimes people don't know where to run the power wire and are told they HAVE to drill through the firewall. I am not justifying that is the correct/safe way to run a power wire but some people rather do that than pay the $$ to get it done correctly.

As for the oil pan ... HOLY S#!T

I was at Fort Irwin National Training Center and a young private thought the Generator was out of gas. Naturally, the flappy thing on top was the fuel port so he filled it up. needless to say, it took awhile to start back up.......

a girl i worked with was driving herself and friends to the mal when she smashed a sizable pothole with her Dodge Neon. She could not stop to check the damage because she had shopping to do so she continued on for about a mile when oil starvation seized the motor.

some peoples kids.

Lol i had a similar story. My Co-Worker was given the task to refuel the generator. He was looking where to put the diesel fuel inside the engine housing and didn't look around the back where the tank was and dumped about five gallons into the oil fill. Boy was my supervisor pissed lol.
