If he's talking about the ones visible under hood at the strut tower, that is very bad advice. They are weak bolts and tend to shear. I forget the spec but its fairly low.

The 3 strut mount nuts are like 12 ft/lbs.

Pretty sure he's talking about the center nut. Or at least thats my understanding of it.

Yes I am talking about the nut that actually holds the strut in the mount. There was no damage on the strut mount itself.

Ahh. Makes more sense. I was scratching my head thinking 'why would Kahn suggest using an impact on that. Hes smarter than that'.

I'd check the other side as well... they probably did it without a spring compressor.

You dont really NEED to use a spring compressor on GD Subarus. Theres very little tension, especially with lowering springs.

The springs are a good deal shorter than your stock ones. Hit it with an impact gun and call it a day
