Russian $400 R160 LSD?
Anyone tried this thing?
https://www.ebay.com/itm/LSD-Limited...gAAOSwCWNcUwto Obviously it’s like 1/4 Of the cost of a PPg or Cusco. Any thoughts?

Russian $400 R160 LSD?
https://m.facebook.com/valracing1/
Seems like it is a company which makes primarily LSDs for various diffs. Could be legit. Last edited by pcampbell; 03-16-2019 at 06:11 PM. |

Russian $400 R160 LSD?
I don’t know that much about LSDS but with all those worm gears (seen in video) does that make it a helical? Could also just ask the seller. It could be a super affordable option, i am just not ready to buy yet. I really want an LSD though , can’t justify $1000 plus.

Russian $400 R160 LSD?
On their Facebook page they’re calling it a Torsen. It’s also like $300 plus shipping directly from them. I’m definitely willing to try it , just am working on other projects right this sec.

here is a direct link to manufacturer (mods, I am in no way related to them)
https://val-racing.ru/differentsial-...niya-srednyaya based on the info I found, the LSD has approx 7-8kg preload, quite affordable for a new diff, its worm type LSD so no diagonal, but it works when both wheels have traction there is very little feedback (or at least what I have been able to find) from actual owners nasioc russian spy out |

Thank you for translating. What does it mean that it has no diagonal? Trying to understand what kind of diff it’d compare to.

The worm/torsen units are unlocked until you start to slip and require there to be at least some grip on both wheels. They're torque "multipliers" and require some torque on the other wheel to "multiply" in order to work and they never wear out.
The clutch type can "chatter" while going around a turn, they don't require the "slipping" wheel to have any traction at all to work and they need rebuilt over time to replace the plates with the friction material just like a clutch. I've used both and I prefer the torsen as long as your wheels stay on the ground. |

Russian $400 R160 LSD?
Thank you for explaining. Yes the circumstance I seem to run into most is in the snow when 1 wheel has traction and it sends all or most of the power to one with none. I think this would help my winter (which is 5 months of the year here) driving.
