Looks like the key I had on my old honda. It is soooo much better than the bulky one offered now. The only downside, it didnt have as much range.

Nifty, I have seen them before for other cars. I'd like to have it and I don't care about range because I don't use mine until I'm next to the car. There is a guy at work that brags about the range on his fob, he unlocks his Chevy truck from about 150 feet away. Why, you can't get into it until you are at the vehicle.

Do the remote entry systems for cars with the security system differ at all from those without? I'm guessing not, but I figured I should check before I ordered a new key.

Man that would be so much better than carrying around a separate key and key fob... so would these be reprogrammable with our current systems?

I'm in so long as it can be made to work w/ my '02 keyless (no security) entry.

It should work whether we have the factory security system or not since the keyless entry module turns the security on and off, not the key fob. The key would be programmed to the keyless entry module not the security system module. As far as aftermarket security, I'm not sure how that would work.

Sorry to burst the bubble, but costs of the key would be between $180-$185 because of the immbolizer. They sell close to $200 in Japan.
