Why do they keep making fun of the fat kid?
Okay, I'm so fargin tired of the anti-forester comments going on by some of the more ignorant people in the club. What's wrong with our cars?? I feel like the fat kid that everyone makes fun of because of being different, but when all grown up the kid turns out to be some kind of star. I dunno just tired of it that's all. Sorry for the complaining.
~ferretboy scratching his head..."why do I always get picked last for kickball?"

I was one of those fat kids, too
...and I'm still built like a fire hydrant. Came in very handy in baseball (yep, a catcher), football (nose guard, middle guard, nose tackle, whatever your team called it) and rugby (prop). Headroom has never been a problem for me and now that I'm nearly bald, lack of a sunroof is no problem either .
I saw that guy who called our cars "half-retarded b@$t@rds" or something like that. My only guess is that some people are bothered by the creation of this sort-of parts-bin car that looks more like a typical SUV than other Subaru models and is marketed toward older people who may live in the burbs and who may be married with children ("soccer moms" is the catch-all term now). I don't get it, really. Ed |

I don't get it either. But I HAVE made believers out of the So Fla locals. One of the guys down here has a '01 5-speed sedan whose only mods are desnorked intake and a Stromung exhaust. He was extremely impressed when I followed him home one day and stayed right on his bumper through some spirited street driving, both straight-line accelleration and cornering. Now he sings the fat-boy praises.
Of course, I have a lowered suspension with every strut bar known to man, and I have a K&N drop-in and a Borla gen 3 header, and now I have an RS muffler. But mine's an automatic. I still stayed with him, even with a 10% heavier vehicle. |

We don't really need to care what people said about our cars,
we like it, we put more thing on it, and we like it more~ that's the rule of having a Forester~ Different people got different mind, really can't care that much (hope you guys understand my English) |

It's not that he's fat, it's that he's stupid and ugly.

Okay.
Let me be the first one now to say... IBTL. Now. <Full finger-snapping, head-wiggling mode> Let me be the first to tell JC that, while it may be true that your mother is both overweight and beauty-challenged, it is neither politically-correct or in good taste to so blatently announce it to the world on an internet bulletin board forum such as this. As to the part about your mother possibly being a "he"... I won't even go there... Now, it is also not correct or prudent to come onto a "Forester" forum and show all of us how uneducated, uninformed, and generally stupid you are by making fun of the vehicle that everyone but you who will read this post owns. In case all of these big words are scaring you JC, let me put it in small, easy words that I'm sure you will understand. You are an idiot. Go away. You know nothing, you mean nothing, and you are nothing. Go play in the "Off-Topic" board and talk about your navel or something equally uninteresting. The rest of us Forester-owners are trying to have a discussion here. |

No need for you to participate in any threads in this forum JC. It is obvious how you feel about the Forester. Please refrain from trying to start a flame war over your tastes.
Some of you other guys should calm down a bit as well. No need for personal attacks it is just a car. Aaron Last edited by AaronB; 07-28-2001 at 12:13 AM. |
