Default looking for input on rims

alright folks, I need some more opinions on some wheels for the spring.

So far, I feel very interested in getting myself a set of work emotion XT7s in that grey/silver they come in... and because nobody really seems to be able to verify if they are more silver than they are grey, here's what I think it looks like based on the images I've seen from work. If they are more silver than grey, I'm almost jumping on them, if they're darker like this, it's more of a 60% sure I want them.

here's the link for a source image http://www.dreamers-ink.ca/junk/sidelarge.jpg

My projected budget for just wheels is around 1300 bucks, try not to go too far over that. I'm looking for some some wider spokes and not too bright since the color of the car is lowkey but I'm open to what looks good. Try to keep it to a 17" as well (for weight). And I am planning a 4/2 pot brake conversion in the future. And the functional track drop is coming when budget permits.

Aight photochop fellas, help me find some shoes

I love that blue color. It's a nice change from WRB.

lowering is secondary at this point, and highly dependant on budget. But I want a separate suspension to swap in and out for winter/summer. The summer kit will be lower and functional with either coilovers or a good stiff setup that can be fun on the street and good on the track.

i think they look pretty nice actually, its a wheel you don't see too frequently yet as far as subarus go. in that price range check out rota's lineup as well, although the works are probably stronger.

yeah I'd like to stay away from rotas, while I hear that they're good for the price and all wheels can break, the last thing I want is a wheel to go and the front of my car drops onto the highway or the track. I'd like the extra money I spend on wheels to ensure the lowest possiblility of a wheel coming apart on me. This is also a reason I don't like wheels with thin spokes.

you clearly have no idea.

Last night i hit a 6" pothole (4 ft in diameter)...ill take a picture if you want...doing 40 mph. Broke the radar detector off the winshield...the wheels were fine. 17x8" rota torques.

Ive also hit a full wooden pallet in the road doing 85mph
and a deer doing 80. They might not be the Strongest. But theyre sure as hell strong.

guess it depends on which model too, but this is not a discussion of quality. If a wheel looks good and the quality of the product is good, I would consider it.

pff7s would be nice... I think they're just over what I want to spend though. If I had the big$ I'd be looking at a set of prodrives for sure, sadly though, I don't feel like paying 1/5 of the cost of my car for a wheel/tire package, if I had that much money to spare, then I would've gone wrx for sure.

Also, I'm looking for a set of light track rims no more than 500 bucks, obviously used, new if I can get them - but LIGHTWEIGHT is key. I just turned down a used set of prodrive p1s I was thinking of using for track wheels cause of their weight... price was amazing though.

edit: oh yeah, I was considering XD9s but I think I like the look of the xt7 better. I like wide spokes over thin spokes for some reason.
