Well Greg was nice enough to pull this code for me while dropping off the Subie for the graphics. Going to see about replacing knock sensor and see if this resolves my no power, hesitating from like 1k-3k.

I think you can get a generic replacment one. They OEM ones aren't that expenseive anyway.

It should help.

Oh, TITTYWOP for the graphics.

Car should be done later this week. I left it at Underground and will pick it up sometime this week. I'll take some photos at that time or I'm sure Greg will.

I think TypeC had the same problem and I believe it was his sensor. You may want to shoot him a PM and see what he had wrong.

No, I never had a P0328. I had false knock due to the wrong parameters in the UTEC. I'm still running the original KS.

Going from a quick search, replacing the KS should take care of it. Did you make sure it was plugged in? (sometimes things are obvious)

Well I'm hoping with the motor swap and the rush to get the car to the Statemeet maybe I left it unplugged. I'm just trying to remember where the heck it it. If not mistaken on bottom or top of block or somewhere?

Lt side of the block, in the rear, next to a thin water pipe, 12mm bolt, I see it in the pic- white connector sticking up next to the hoses in the center....it's easy to leave it unplugged...it's hidden.

Jay did you have any trouble with that PE timing belt. I am having issue with deciding what belt to get. 2 options are the $204 STI one or the PE one does the PE belt have the marks to line up the cam gears?

Thanks Rick, the car is over at Underground getting the graphics done so I'll check it out once I pick the Scooby up. I hope unplugged turns out to be the case or I would still be stoked with it needing to be replaced.

Car is running like a dog right now. Don't think it explains the smokin that started up though on my 3rd run at statemeet. On the freeway I think max boost I'm hitting is like 8lbs or so. Well I have a turbo available locally if its going to need replacing.

The PE belt doesn't have timing marks and wasn't aware the STi one did. I do know I found my PE belt for way less money than any STi belt. The build quality on it is first class.

Alright, just picked up the car from Lilly's and brought it home. Took off the intercooler and BAM! knock sensor was disconnected. Reset ECU and started vehicle. Haven't driven it but getting ready to head to HHH. Wish me luck again and hope the car runs good.

Guru

EDIT: Alright, nothing like posting and driving. 20 miles so far and almost to Bull and Bear and no CEL. Boost issue is still around, max boost is .05MPa which I think is around 7-8lbs.

hey did you ever get your boost issue sorted out? 7-8 PSI sounds like the vacuum T line on your turbo/wastegate might be reversed. easy fix if so.
