since you say that it's too bright at night, i'm going to try the "super high power 1 watt super charged led bulb" on the website the OP posted. i'm ordering them now, and will post pics when installed

did you remove the green micro dot film off of the back of the gauge faces? when i put my red leds in, they were very dim, and i assume it had something to do with that green backing

Pretty sure you have to to make them look good. I'm still debating on doing this. I have a feeling I will mess up a needle and break the cluster lol

+1 to this question. I already went through with the HVAC using a 10" led ribbon and it turned out great. Looking to do the cluster next. If a decent result can be had by simply switching bulbs count me in!

you need to sand down the film to make the instrument cluster look good.

I ordered 20 of the same bulbs as the OP. I chose green bulbs hoping they makes things still look stock, just brighter and crisper. I hope they make things look more neon green than teal. I will update you guys with pics after it is done, should be easy since I am just replacing bulbs, no sanding.

quick questions:
1) So in order to get rid of the greenish film or anyother color on the back side of the cluster gauges you need to sand them down?
2) If i pull the needles off will the readings be messed up after wards?

Anybody used those specific bulbs in the cluster? I don't want any hot spots like I had with my HVAC lights.

Yes, and I believe so yes.
I know if you bump them it will mess them up.
I don't know if there is a way to remove them without messing them up.
You shouldn't have to in order to sand off the green film.
(I may be wrong, I researched this for a while when I had my last car but decided it was too much work, now I'm looking into it again.)

I recently went about changing the color of my Evo bulbs but got lazy and used paint markers from walmart, works just as good! The bulbs haven't gotten hot enough to melt the paint off, so far so good

I know it's been a while but you can, you just need to peel off the inversion tape stuff on it and then replace it with another color

Am I the only one that thinks all of these look bad? Has anybody gotten even light distribution or professional looking at all?
