If it doesn't show up in the US accessories catalog, is it safe to assume you could get it via intl mail-order and have the dealer install (if necessary?)

I wouldn't assume anything. That said, it's likely that japanparts will be selling them. Also, a dealer would charge you way too much to install that thing; if it's anything like previous subaru lips, it would be an easy diy job.

...says the guy who wouldn't assume anything

Argh. Same retarded [sad]panda ear accessory gauge pods that we saw in the earlier catalog. I'm afraid Subaru isn't going to be offering anything nicer in the near future.

Maybe I could live with it if there was also an inner bezel/instrument cluster pair. Then there would be 4 gauges...

Seeing as how Japan has such a low crime rate, I'm really surprised to see the wheel lock for sale. I could see that being a US option more than anything. I think I'd pass on dork factor alone.

SoJ's main STi info page has an English version. Doesn't appear that this one does.

Default Anti-theft and the STI

So what kind of standard anti-theft security system are we expecting from Subaru for the STI? What has been offered in the past? Will this even be an option? (I must assume so, - sorry Menik )

Looking at these after-market bike-lock devices isn't exactly instilling me with a sense of security if I were to buy one of these.

Do I see a park assist option (sensors warning when you get close to other objects)? The boot is awesome.

Yes and a camera system if you have NAV?

Interesting options in there. LED interior lights? I like the full rubberized hatch and the protective cover for the rear bumper too.
