Tom, Jeremy, Paul, and I did a similar install all in one day. It took us 12+ hours all said and done even with things going pretty smoothly. Don't forget that you need new plugs before the tune. You are going to want 1 step colder plugs for that setup. Pulling the IM is a little tricky. I have done it with Tom Breakiron 2 times now and I am still not totally comfortable with it.

I don't know about the 2.0L, but what I found most tricky about removing the IM was the damn fuel lines/rails! But that was made easier since I was installing aftermarket rails, so I could just trash the factory stuff.

rubber seal off an STi. I have the same TMIC but different splitter. I have the JDM splitter for the bug eye.

Who's pulling their intake manifold? First thing you need to know is that whoever wrote the factory service manual procedure should be shot! Try to take it off in an entire piece and then break it down on a bench somewhere. Just watch your sensors, I like to set them upside down on a nice soft bed of clean towels to prevent things from breaking.

Ding !!! that was what I was looking for. Turbocat, your thoughts o sealing the tmic are what I believe to be te case as well.

So Jeremy ? Where do you source the shroud without buying the Sti splitter ? Did you need to invert the seal ? I saw Jesse do that with his ginourmous ebay tmic.

fully floating rotors on fixed calipers for the best brake feel! pad knockback on 5x100 hubs, fixed calipers and big rotors gets bad. one autoX i had no brakes on teh first pedal pump for the 2nd turn cause the start was a launch and hard left. guess who warned me about it? Ryan with his bigass fixed calipers.. hmm. well, i needed to bleed them anyway

hey Dave, if you're renting a truck on friday to pick up the engine, give me a ring! actually, i'll call you in the morning.
i actually need to pick up a couch and take 2 trips of furniture to my shop. i'll split it with you..uh, even if you get it for free.. hmm.
thinking i'll ride out to your place with shek on saturday and pick up the GF there. hang out and help for about half an hour and blitz out. makes it easy for everyone.

Why does it only happen on 5x100 hubs?

Shek was complaining about the same thing on Paul's car.

Ken, can the DTEC do open loop boost control? It says it can do overboost protection, but also says it's the most advanced closed loop controller (as if closed loop was difficult).

I am not sure right off the top of my head. I will do some looking around and see what I can find.
A good thread about what it can do:
