Does anyone on here have an idea or know what the dollar amount is between invoice and msrp on a STI. I understand it varies with options and things like that. I was told by my local dealer it was around 2500 total mark up does this sound right to anyone?

I put a deposit down without discussing price i was co workers with a guy that is now a sales manager at subaru so i trust him i just wanted to know if anybody had any input.

If anyone is getting impatient, I decided that I'm going keep my Audi and after searching high and low for a new 2013 SWP Sti Hatch w/Nav...its going to a new home. Even after flying up to NorCal to get it and drive it back down to SoCal. 1437mi.

Lesson learned, but someone's is going be stoked. Never even took the film off the pedals etc...

Go to Edmunds or KBB and you get a true market value too

It really can. If you noticed many do arrive about a month after VIN is received. My unallocated unit showed up on the Subaru website mid April and 05/21 is the original esimated date of delivery.

I'm with you on the allergies. My eyes are the only thing that's bad this year. My doc prescribed me this nasal spray Rhinocort which I do at night and once I wake up I just take a 24 hour Allegra. So far works amazing.. Except my eyes. But anyways about the VIN.. SOA said nobody would have a clue what the VIN is until they actually unloaded the cars at port and matched the VON's up. Floor mats and that BS is at the dealer I believe. But working for a freight forwarding company myself, customs does take a butt load of time. Aside from paperwork, and emissions, that's also another reason people don't buy skyline's and have them sent here.

And I would be willing to believe that with the sequester there aren't as many customs agents working, meaning more time at port...

I mean yea, maybe a month is a little much for being at port. Especially with all the allocations they fill on a constant annual basis. But we really don't know unless someone knows someone that works at port and knows from first hand.

Edit: Nevermind.

My dealer hasn't given me a PO yet so I can go loan shopping. It's been since Monday when I asked. Getting a bit annoyed.

www.truecar.com is pretty good at giving you invoice, MSRP, and average paid in your area

Bad deal. I already scheduled a 1/2 day on the 17th to pick her up. Guess I'll just have to hope for the best.

The one problem I have is the car payment for my current car is due the 27th. I really hope the car comes before that so I don't have to make another payment. I also don't want to make a late payment regardless if I'm trading the car in. Plus I'm going out of town the 24th for Memorial Day weekend in WI and won't be back until Monday afternoon. It's just funny how I got an ETA of May 16th back on April 17th and I even called SOA on May 1st to confirm that date and they even said May 16th. Now the dealer says 21st and SOA couldn't give me a specific date only that it should be around the 16th. I was going to pick up the car on a Saturday just because my dealer is off on Fridays. But it is what it is. If I have to wait a few more days then I have to.

How often do you talk to you're dealer while in this holding pattern? I don't want to bud the crap out of my sales women. But I also don't want to be forgotten. Do people call once a week? On e every 2 weeks? Never call unless you've been waiting 12+ weeks? What is the proper etiquette?

Just send an email, they can deal with you in their downtime then.
