itemized list:

1: your face

2: if he was/is being serious

3: women

4: the claim of nature being somehow efficient when I see it as about the same as anytime humans have tried to fix a problem. Too many bugs? Let's get toads out here to take care of that. Fuk, gd too many toads let's get some snakes to fix that probl... OH GAWD FUKING DAMN IT. It would have been more efficient not creating something that needs something else to keep that first thing in check to keep that snowball from rolling down hill causing everyone to have a bad day.

5: who are people talking to at 7am that want to talk to someone on a phone for a half hour?

6: people that answer questions directed others

7: that last little dribble after blasting whatever you like with piss that looks like it rolls up the head of the penis. I think Mr. Wizard did an experiment to explain it but that was a while ago.

8: No shooting weekends in Baltimore.

9: people that think hondas get good milage despite being a two ton suv. Why?

10: why people can't stay on topic? I understand flight sims are very good but they don't have a "flight sim 2017 to Pilot of a DC9"... there are limited "lemme play gran tursimo so I can go racing this summer having no other plans this year." Yes, I get flight sims are good but they're not 200 hours and now you're going to go fly for Alaskan Air. You saw that job interview go up in flames.

11: how can people think guns should only be in the hands of highly trained individuals and they're talking about police that need 86 rounds to land one or two in their target with the others killing and/or injuring others that were at the wrong place at the wrong time. That's if the cop(s) have their guns and didn't leave them in the ****ter in what seems like universal training for the Costanza method of bowel voiding.

12: Arm the teachers? Look, you said out of the hands of people that shouldn't have guns. Have you seen a teacher? Interacted with them? Arm the kids with appropriately ranged firearms and let's move on other problems like finding something else to blame on young people. They killed Applebees? Good, a teacher should have accidentally capped Applebees decades ago.

13 : Do more Catholics become atheist than people that claim another denomination or is it just a feeling brought on by life experience of the ones I've had the pleasure to interact with wont shut the fuk up about something we both seem to not care about but they just keep talking about it. Like internet forums in real life but before the internet.

14: why do people get such a hard-on for "hole in the wall" places and say within the same conversation they don't just eat anywhere while painting a mental picture that they would eat at Chilies but not the family owned restaurant run by shady people making pretty incredible central'ish american food that keep the lights low so the grime and blood stains don't 'pop'. But are totally all about hole in the wall places, they say for the rest of the day.

15: if someone goes to a gym everyday and has "fat phobia" but has to walk around their own thighs, has more rolls than thanksgiving dinner and Eddie Murphy in a single movie and no one can say this person ever does anything at the gym but walk-around looking agitated because their tights are chaffing their cooch, is it rude to wonder out-loud what the fuk are they talking about?

Jesus, even Forrest Gump didn't jump on the ping pong paddle endorsement.
Having zero experience in this field and no pertinent education, it was a longshot that I even got an interview. This was my chance to make a career change and I wasn't about to refuse an offer.

Based on his statement, it certainly doesn't seem like it. I genuinely hope he finds stasis/happiness in the future.

I mean, I always have some reason(s) to Bourdain myself, I'm just looking for the least amount of reasons. The worst thing here is the early schedule. The work itself doesn't seem so bad.

Give it 6 months and then start applying for jobs. You just need a little experience and you should be able to get better jobs. Stick with it.

30% raise in 2 years.

Honestly I sort of envy you getting out of IT. My job has gone from busy to being buried under a mountain of projects with no end in sight. Some with some pretty seriously unreasonable expectations.

At my first "real" job I received 3 raises in 20 months totaling 40% from my initial salary. When starting pay is low, it's not too hard to get large (percentage wise) raises.

^That. I got multiple 10-20% raises in my first two-three years in the industry, after an initial 20% pay cut for a job closer to home. Around year five, I doubled my starting pay with the company. Another few months after that I jumped ship for another 20% (to a "real" salary IMO), but boy do I half regret it.

Right now I'm testing out leg cuff pumps. I'm using my hands, up and moving around and not glued to a chair for 8 hours. Repairing crap is kinda satisfying, much more so than telling an idiot to reboot their modem over the phone for the millionth time.
At some point you may gain access to morphine pumps and the like, which the last patient left half full. Can't use it on the next patient. Can't flush it down the drain. Needs to be disposed of. :makesuncomfortableeyecontactandnods: "disposed of". Income problem solved.

Alright Satan, that's enough...

The biomed division of Aramark was acquired by Trimedx this morning, the deal is supposed to be finalized by the end of the year. This means...I don't know, but I can't take the chance of sticking around and then being out of a job. I know, I'll just apply to another entry level biomed position because...oh wait, THERE AREN'T ANY.

Well, hmmmm, is there anything else in which I have experience? Some other industry I could come crawling back to? Sweet ****ing christ.

Can't win, don't try.

If you're a people person or can pretend you're not day dreaming about throwing them in a drainage ditch and have a carmax around you they seem to employee anyone that wants to work there. I'm not trying to joke... it's a popular 2nd job. The few I know where it's their primary job seem happy with it. This is both sells folks and people that work in the garage/whatever they call it.

I had a carpet laying job that paid pretty decent but I think it was due to being a mostly over night job. There were fat checks if something needed doing over a weekend. There's likely a few good outfits doing this in your area.

I know only 2 people through mutual friends that drive for Uber and they're both ... content with it.

Overnight work in UPS, Fedex type places seems to pay well... the drivers I've known were very happy with their jobs, they drove for UPS.

If you have 24 hour offices/commercial areas around they normally need a guard if not around the clock at least after normal business hours. I know a few people that did this as a 2nd job and stopped only to do things like "sleep more" and/or "spend time with kids" but the money was good, they said.

Related to Lag, try a dealership as a service advisor.

If you're not a complete dip****, you can make decent coin. Trouble is finding a good dealership that wants to serve customers instead of fleecing them.

I have been in the fixed ops side of dealers for almost 20 years now. I want out, but nothing else pays like this with no degree.

Too bad the last litter of squirrels were all female.
