My friend is in film school and I guess he's got some natural talent. (I'm a director so he shows me stuff.)

The assignment was to make an ad for a local bar. Several other students directed ads. They are going up against each other with the directors whose video gets the most views on youtube winning. I wouldn't post this but the ad is freaking hilarious. (NSFW language) please help him out!!!!

There are three classes competing with multiple directors in each class. The winner gets $1000 worth of gear donated to the class in his name.

He wants to win and I do to COME ON OT!!!

The main wings guy is from a comedy troupe called Picnicface which has been quite successful.

The contest begin in October. My friend just submitted his. The leading video has around 11,000 views. That's the one we have to beat. We're at under 600 the video went up today. It's improbable that he will win but I'm going to give it a shot.

A. Poor sound editing, volume levels all over the place

B. Poor attempt at "The Office" style awkward camera gaze from dude in beginning

C. Relatively humorous other than that... I like the homeless man part

LOL OT are so funny.

He's a first year film student. It's not professional it's a competition among various film classes. Very much beginners.

Look I've worked with some of the best filmmakers in the world and I can still appreciate a good concept and something done simply/cheaply/unprofessionally. I love film school stuff. I won't knock them on production values, because I'm looking at ideas. That's all this is someone's homework. Relax.

Might I add that the guy is my 25 year old friend who has cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy. It was found suddenly a few months ago and the guy is brave enough to stay in school as his hair falls out and he feels like ****. So props on that also.... Don't be dicks.

Dude it's homework. Second time using an editing bay etc. Everyone is beginners. Listen I'm a director of a feature film with a film having separate color correction, sound design, and 5.1 sound mix done. I know polishing and finishing roughs and screeners. You're not telling me or him anything. As for him he's learing, as for me I already know.

I'm a professional in the field. So yeah you know just like watch it and you know chill the **** out.
