If I were out your way, I'd help. My best advice, get a lift and a man-sized breaker bar. The primary retaining bolt on the rear of the control arm was so tight on my car, my 220lb buddy was able to do pull ups on the breaker bar. Wish we had gotten a pic! We ended up getting it loose with a good dose of WD40 and a little help from a 800lb-ft impact wrench we call The Persuader. If you're in a hurry, you should be able to get both sides done in about an hour or so.
Make sure to have the car aligned afterward!! |

damn. somehow i dont think it would be a good idea to try and break that bolt with the car up on jack stands. i guess i may have to pay a professional on this one. could anyone suggest a shop to get it installed at for a reasonable price? thanks.

done a few sets
you can do this on jack stands.
and yes it is difficult to get control arm nut to loosen up. But other than that it shouldn't take much more than 2 hours with hand tools. Ben Jax Mod Squad |
