you think the same concept applies w/ the 05 BL's to work w/ the 05/06 wrx's?

no. 00+ Legacies have a multi link rear suspension. The difference between 04 and 05/06 sti suspension is that the front knuckles are beefed up so the flanges on the strut are farther apart, as are the holes in the flanges. Which I just noticed is right at the bottom of my post. R->C->P

04-06 non-sti impreza suspension all has the same fitment.

MYfirst00- what is your alignment like?

Also, does anyone have 02+ wagon suspension on a Legacy?

I haven't got it aligned yet. Driving doesn't feel like it really needs it to be honest.

So if i put a sedan 02 wrx suspension on my BG... would i have some camber issues or just a problem with the springs not being correct?... assuming i put in the whole assembly from the wrx.

Thanks for being so gentle

I was googling it and found something saying the chassis was a B11, but I guess it is a BD.

Helps with ordering things!

dont do it. You will have the "saggy" butt. wagon goes on wagon sedan on sedan. the rear spring rates are different, as well as the struts. trust me, this was my 1st setup. and i dumped it fast.

Well, the question then is...will +05 legacy suspensions fit 00-04 BE/BH legacies? They seem to have a wider range of aftermarket support, particularly coilovers...

Nope. The 05+ uses a larger strut mount than all previous years.

93-01 impreza stuff will bolt up as long as you swap the front upper perches. if you wanna use anything 02+ you will need to use the stock tophats+perches for the rear.

i just put a full 01 2.5rs suspension on my 92 legacy L, it dropped it 1: f/r and i needed the front impreza spring perches but everything else bolted up fine.

ok, so I have a 97 LGT Wagon, so to swap to WRX stuff, I need to find a WRX WAGON (02-03) and grab the shocks/springs. then, use the tops from MY 97 BG on the WRX parts? I saw an article a while back that shows that you can drill out the mounting holes in the chassis to angle the suspension correctly to get rid of the Camber issues...

But it was for a 93 legacy with 04 STI suspension..

Is any of that applicable to my 97?
(ive only had the car a few days now... so im not very familiar with the suspension yet)

you got it. and save yourself the hassles and just get some camber bolts for the rear.

but if you can i'd try and find some BG springs but the wrx is a cheap and fairly easy route... just not the best.

Yes. I think ten80's donor WRX is a wagon; you can pm him for stuff since he can't use some of the suspension pieces in his BE swap.

im so confused after reading all of this. but from what i gather its not quite as simple as just use wrx springs and that wrx top hats and struts are a must???

As long as the Legacy tophats are used with the legacy springs, or the wrx tophats are used with the wrx springs, any strut can be used from either model.

Armed with this information, I'm wondering if anyone has tried '03 JDM STI springs on a BD/BG?

That would be the same as trying an 04' USDM STI style setup, wouldn't it?

Hey that's me. For you it's different though. Any full setup for an 02-07 WRX wagon will bolt right up to your car since a 2nd gen Legacy has the same pattern as a second gen (02-07) Impreza. I'm not sure what your camber will be like though. Possibly the same.
