Default 2015-2017 black housing headlights “STI Style”

Saw these on EBay. Had good reviews so far but my only concern was that these aren’t for HID’s or led’s and I should use my stock halogens. (Currently have 6k OLM HIDS)

Not sure if they meant by HIDS being too hot for them or that they’d headlight weren’t designed for HIDS so if I would put them on, they would have a scattered effect.
SO, I was wondering if anyone here as tried these same exact ones.

Aftermarket headlights usually comes with crappy projectors so its best to replace them with a set of proper projectors that are made for HIDs or LEDs. Even if you use it with halogens, the output will be crappy compared to the oem set.

stock halogen lens are made to project halogen bulbs, if you put hid in there there light will scatter and headlight will just glow and blind everyone

That statement about hid/led not compatible in stock halogen projectors also applies to stock headlights. In other words, it’s the same danger as you putting hids in the stock projectors you have already.

For how much those cost, just buy used oem LED headlights. I did and love mine.

I have a 2018 premium wrx and replaced the stock halogen low beams with LED bulbs. Are there any problems doing this? I have had them on for months and have not had any problem.
