260-275whp. it also depends on what kind of dyno you will be using. Do you know what kind it is?

Check the numbers under my name. I have just about the same turbo and I was tuned at Agile. Jeremy and Hill are great.

Here is a link to my dyno sheet and mods: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1108530

Whyd you go with the Tial 38mm ewg, and not the 44? how much boost are you running (or think youre going to run)? I'm figuring out whether to go with the 38 or 44 myself (16g, 20psi, leaning toward the 44)

from everything I've read the 38 is more than enough. A friend of mine has the 38 with a avo500 turbo (just about a 30r). No need to get the 44 really.

You have it backwards, in theory, a larger wastegate is needed when running less boost (needs to divert more exhaust gas).

Can you explain that please? Seems counterintuitive?

a larger diameter wastegate has the ability to flow more exhaust volume so for applications running less boost the excess exhaust gasses can flow out of the wastegate. for higher boost applications more exhaust gas is needed to spool the turbo so there is less excess that needs to be vented by the wastegate. So higher boost = less excess exhaust gas, therefore a smaller wastegate will suffice. Good luck steve, you didn't make it out to the meet today?

I'm hoping to hit 300whp on pump.
any guesses at what I might make?

I would guess around 280hp/265tq... Your sti tmic is going to be hurting considering heat soak. I have the TurboXS tmic and even that's getting heatsoaked at 310 on pump and 333 on race.

Also what EM are you using?

I'm aware for smaller turbos the larger wastegate might be more ideal but for most applications the 38 will do just fine and save you a few bucks compared to the 44.
I have my hopes up for 300whp. I'm pretty sure it'll be close. I realize my biggest setback is the sti tmic. I was going to go with a fmic but was thinking too much about lag but I'm not sure it would really be that big of a deal. we'll see. maybe I'll go fmic in the winter and getting better boost control and maybe even add some meth.

Steve I told yah not to worry about lag if you werent going wtih the 18g, Just trade me that sti topmount and you can have my fmic if you throw in $75 plus those sideskirts !! Also he'll hit about 290whp-300whp, the car will be nice and quick especially with that 6 speed he has. Good luck homie, and get rid of that APS cold air intake it isnt going to do ish for power.

I'd do that intercooler swap if I wasn't getting tuned so soon so I'll just stick with the top mount for now. Maybe one of these days I'll go over the the fmic and add meth or something else. This setup should be good for now.

I'm just hoping for 300whp. If I don't hit that I'll still be happy but 300 would make my day. I guess we'll see.

Is 317 the magic number for tuning yours and Rays?
