I'm 35 and just bought my first ever car in April - 2011 WRX WRB. I've been living in NYC and London most of my life, so never had the need for a car before.
Since the mid 1990s I've wanted a rally blue Impreza as after seeing Colin McRae driving it. 15 years later I finally own one. It's funny how these things stick with you. |

38 here.
Bought 2004 STi brand new and still have it. No mods other than a wing-ectomy. Will keep it at least two more years. Waiting to see what Mitsu does with their new EVO. |

Turning 30 in a few months, and picked my WRX up in April. I've wanted a WRX since I set eyes on one when it reached US shores. The redo of the 2011 WRX bodystyle was all it took for me to sign my name. This is the first car I will definitively say I am going to pay off, and keep for a long, long time.

I am 39 and I just bought a 1 owner 65000 mile 02 WRX sedan . After building a CTD and my Rubicon , I decided to get something quick and easy to drive . I like turbos and I always loved how the bug eyes looked so when this one popped up I bought it .

Old thread...I'm 53 and on my second Subie. The first, a 2003 WRX, no mods. The current is a 2007 STI that I've modded for fun and autocross. Sways, TBE (Perrin) and a Pro-Tune (Engine Logics in Pearland, TX).
I'm a professional and sometimes catch grief from my Bimmer/Escalade driving cohorts, but I love the car and love that fact it performs so well for so few $$. Next up is a good set of coilovers/camber plates. My tuner is pushing for methanol injection, but I'll probably lay-off. I do need a practical, less embarassing car for my occasional trips out with guests or to a fancy restaurant. Hence, I'll keep the STI, but get a Raptor for my daily driver. Hahaha. Why be boring? |

33. Just picked up my first WRX July 5th. I just ordered a Perrin dp and will have it installed as soon as I can. Then I'm gonna open source tune mine. I'll do some minor cosmetic stuff, stiffen the suspension, install a high flow air filter and that's about it. Nothing too fancy...although I did see a badass paint job on Circuitmotorsports.net that I so tempted to imitate ( but I won't). It is urban cammo. There will always be that inner child in us that we should never abandon.

34. Bought an '02 in '02. Wife's car. She couldn't drive a stick when I bought it without her knowing. Called her at work and said, "When do you get of work? I just bought you a WRX in Sonoma and we have to go pick it up tonight." She was **cking pissed at me. Especially since she had to watch me drive "her" car home for her. She's has grown to love the car. 2 kids, 2 car seats, Yakima roof box(used to be for snowboards now it's for strollers) and she won't give it up! Just going to do the first mods this coming month. VF39, blah, blah, blah....we love our WRX 122,XXX miles.

Our '02 is nearly bone stock on the outside and it will remain that way. Limo'ed rear windows, 20% fronts. JDM hood scoop for the STI TMIC. Impreza RS OE mudflaps trimmed to fit around the rockers. Stock wheels and height.
