Thumbs up

I am a DSM junkie. I am on my 3rd DSM now (90 Laser RS Turbo). Previously had a 91 TSi AWD, and a 95 TSi.

Great cars.

Talking

Previous (90 GSX) and current. In addition to my Scooby, I have a 91 3000GT VR4. I was able to buy it from my dad for REALLY cheap. I recently caught myself drooling over a MY99 VR4. Wow. That thing is beautiful.

92 Eagle Talon BASE!!! No TSi no ESi, power nothing, etc...

Still got it man, 3rd engine and numerous tranny and clutch re-builds later, about 180000kms. Biggest piece of you know what.

It still goes though, and the engines we're all under warranty, probably get rid of it this summer.

Yeah! Sentra E is a big step down from the GVR-4.. I still drive it like the Galant though! Power shifting (like that helps) and I redline it as much as possible (I doesn't have a tach..of course).

I once lost a race to a Ford Tempo that was loaded with junk. Sad thing is I don't think the guy even knew I was racing him. My wife was wondering why I had a big grin on my face.. I told her I was trying to race that dude in the POS Tempo.. she just laughed at me... oh well.

LOL Eric, I have many stories like that about all my wifes cars. That E, and her current Civic DX, slowest cars I have ever been in. But they will start will sand in the tank.

I just traded my 2nd DSM in on my RS. It was a lightly modified 92 Laser RS-T AWD. Man, I loved that car.

Last car was a 1st Gen GS Turbo. Tons of HP and the torque steer to go along with it. (FWD not AWD GSX)

Great car for passing others, but understeered badly.

Synchros, suspension, and brakes all needed to be replaced at once so I got out...and picked up an RS.

I'm a subie newbie -- and I'm here because of my 2 DSMs that I loved so much. Too bad Mitsu lost its way with the new Eclipse.

90 Laser RS 2.0L NA (bought new, sold in '94)
92 Talon TSi AWD (bought used in '96, slightly modded, sold in '99)

The WRX is the absolute perfect replacement for the TSi AWD, IMHO.

Cool

I traded my '90 Talon AWD turbo 11 mo. ago for a red 2000 RS. I liked the Talon a lot, but the RS is more fun to drive. I never got a ticket in 10 years with the Talon, the RS in much more apt to get me a ticket though. LOL

I Have got a 1992 GSX with a bunch of modds done to it. 13.4 quarter mile times with a serious tuning error. The dealer forgot to reset my timing after they changed the timing belt. It was set at Zero. 1.8 60 ft times but my final trap speed was only 94 mph. oh well it goes up for sale as soon as I get my WRX

I had a 1G Tsi AWD and I had so much fun with it. With all the basic mods it was very quick but after I installed a 16G it was a whole new car. Car & Driver says the WRX comes with a Mitsubishi turbo. I wonder if it is a TD05. A 16G or 20G WRX would be fun

Im an "old school" DSM'er.

Had a 1989 Conquest TSI, it was one of the last cars with 4 cylinders, RWD, and a turbo.
That was a fun car.

Now, thanks to Rallispec's magic...
Its heart (the turbo) has been transplanted into my MY99 Impreza.
This car is REALLY fun to drive!
