Default Tapping aftermarket header?

Can you do this to install an egt sensor? It seems that i see it alot on stock header but not aftermarket.

18mm I think is the typical EGT/02 sensor bung size.

18mm is correct for most O2 sensors. For an 1/8" dia thermocouple a 1/4" NPT compression fitting is common. There are other styles too.

You need to know/tell us what you are planning to use. There simply isn't enough "meat" in a tube header for a thread where a cast iron manifold has plenty.
